This should have been an optional quest. I see no reason why many within the Horde would help Baine with this.

If you do not get the Grappling Hook ability as an extra action button, abandon and re-take the quest.

A lot of silly things in this questline but one of them is definitely that Blaine says "The ship's crew is fanatically loyal to Sylvanas. They will not take our trespass lightly" and then "Though it pains me we may need to shed blood this day".

Then the majority of forsaken you fight say things like "Spare me! I was just following orders" or "Please no more!". Hardly fanatically loyal...

It's weird that Baine's counter to "lets reanimate him and leave him with his family to murder them" is "take him to his family"

Isn't that the whole point of what Sylvanas is doing?

Why did I have to do this, as a Forsaken mage I'd gladly twist Derek's mind in-game personally... and also execute the cow-dude myself ;0

At this point, I would take my Forsaken and leave the Horde to follow Sylvannas into a third faction. I'm getting tired of being preached at now from both sides on someone else's ideas and values.

Yes Baine, I would like to lose the war please. I wish nothing more than to see my lands and family conquered by the alliance.

I have never been so mad and dissapointed at the same time. I have always been loyal to Sylvanas and always will be. Why am I, just few quests later, after she thanked me for being loyal to her for not siding with that troll, forced to turn my back on her just because Baine has his own ideas I don't want to follow?

Why did you not give us another option ? An option to kill him? I would kill him instantly. Or an option to tell him that I do not want to turn my back on our warchief.

Sad and dissapointing.

The interactive doors that you can click on are not the ones at the top deck, but the ones on the sides on the deck where you first grapple to.

Also, I wish there was an option to refuse assisting Baine and working behind Sylvanas' back. It felt very inappropriate! :(

same as others wasnt really a fan of this quest. i was fine with helping saurfang get out of prison but killing plenty of my allies to help jainas brother? way too much of an extreme IMO

Baine's actions get cancelled if you go into stealth while they're triggering. If you do this while he's breaking down the aft doors, you'll have to trigger it again. If you do this after killing the jailor, you'll get credit for finding Proudmoore but Baine won't inspect the lock, you won't be able to turn in the quest, and Baine won't offer the quests to unlock it. I tried going back to the rowboat and re-entering that deck while out of stealth to no avail. Had to abandon and start over from the port.

Just love when Blizzard forgets they made an entire class that wants to be in stealth whenever possible, and instead assumes everyone runs around charging through everything like a clumsy Tauren all the time when they test scripted quests.

Edit: You may be able to relog to fix the scripted state of the quest. I had yet a third problem where Zelling didn't come aboard after we "took the ship", and relog fixed that.

Description

Sylvanas has gone too far this time. We may be at war with the Alliance, but there are certain lines we cannot cross. I must right this situation, but I need your assistance. Derek Proudmoore is being held on the Swift Vengeance, which is moored in the harbor here for supplies. We must take him and bring him back to his family. Are you with me?
