Definitely time consuming not a quick one. Most pets to fight in here are either elementals mechanicals or undead

Level 25 blue quality Shore Crab is your best friend for this. It's a little time consuming, but, if you keep up Renewing Mists and Shell Shield and attack with Surge you should be able to get through almost all of the fights using nothing more than this aquatic friend.

I was able to get all the way to the Bloated Leper Rat with blue level 25 team of Shore Crab, Fishy and Left Shark. I only used the shark once as the Shore Crab and Fishy were able to take out everything.

For the Leper Rat fight I used:

Unborn Val'kyr - Curse of Doom, Haunt
Zandalari Anklerender - Black Claw, Primal Cry, Hunting Party
Sharptalon Hatchling - Falcosaur Swarm, Predatory Strike

Gnomeregan Guard Wolf, Gnomeregan Guard Mechanostrider and Gnomeregan Guard Tiger:

Amalgam of Destruction - Immolate, Fire Shield, Flame Jet (Fire Shield is your best friend for these three fights)
Blazehound - Obsidian Bite, Frenzy, Puppies of the Flame
Dark Phoenix Hatchling - Burn, Immolate, Conflagrate

Pulverizer Bot MK 6001:

Lil Bling - Inflation, Extra Plating, Make It Rain
Stormstruck Beaver - Jolt, Lightning Shield, Discharge
Direbeak Hatchling - Falcosaur Swarm!, Ironskin, Predatory Strike

Using Inflation with your Bling and then Lightning Shield with the Beaver should be all you need to do. Those two attacks should kill the MK 6001 without any issue =)

When you get to Stage 5:
Cockroach - Chromunius; Howl, Arcane explosion, Surge
Direbeak Hatchling - Predatory Strike, Iron Skin, Falcosaur Strike (& Had Corehound pup as backup, but didn't need him).

Leper Rat - Iron Starlette - Powerball, Supercharge, Windup;
Dust Bunny & Corehund Pup (although probably better pets for Mechanical backline, but they worked.

Very slow going.
Couldn't get pass the Leper Rat. I don't have the fancy pets listed above and my "regular" rares of all types just couldn't handle the fight because of the DOTs it attacks with.
Guess will have to level up some more pets and try again some other time. Very discouraging.

Crabs didn't go well against first boss since it's Mechanical. I used:
Electrified Razortooth (2,1,2)
Ruby Droplet (2,2,2)
Had Living Sandling (1,1,1) as a backup, didn't use

For 3 elemental bosses after that I used crabs with Elemental attacks
Hermit Crab (1,1,2) - did particularly well, taking first two and a half pets in each battle consistently. Priorities: Stoneskin > Whirlpool
Emperor Crab (2,1,1)
Moonshell Crab (2,1,1)

Stage 3 - Door Control:
Mudshell Conch (1,1,1)
Hermit Crab (1,1,1)
Had Emperor Crab as a backup
Snail team might work here well

Stage 5:

Cockroach:
Chrominus (1,1,2) - not ideal, but worked for 1.5 pets
Direbeak Hatchling (1,2,1)
Bloodgazer Hatchling (1,1,1)

For Leper Rat I changed Chrominus specs:
Chrominus (1,1,1)
Direbeak Hatchling (1,2,1)
Bloodgazer Hatchling (1,1,1)

Stage 6 Bloated Leper Rat
Rabbits worked well: Dodge -> Stampede -> Flurry
Elfin Rabbit(2,2,2)
Rabbit (2,2,2)
Alpine Chipmunk (1,2,2)
When Rat dies it kills active pet with it. If you can't kill it with first two rabbits then swap out second one before it's dead

Stage 7 Mechanicals:
Electrified Razortooth (2,1,2)
Thornclaw Broodling (1,1,1) - not ideal against Undead, try a Rabbit here
Stormstruck Beaver (2,2,1)
Lightning Shield is a key here against mechanicals, but don't use it on first turn

Stage 8
Lightning Shield team:
Electrified Razortooth (2,1,2)
Thundertail Flapper (2,2,1)
Stormstruck Beaver (2,2,1)

For the final boss, I only had one pet with Lightning Shield, but I found Sandstorm to be very helpful. Keep Sandstorm up for as much of the battle as possible without manually swapping out pets. The boss will swap your pets frequently. My team that defeated Pulverizer Bot MK 6001:

Coastal Sandpiper (Peck / Sandstorm)
Anubisath Idol (Crush / Sandstorm / Rupture)
Stormstruck Beaver (Jolt / Lightning Shield / Discharge)

For Door Console bosses:

Syd the Squid
Fire-Proof Roach
Swamp Croaker

Start with Syd.
Use Bubble, then Whirlpool.

Switch to Roach.
Use Swarm. Napalm Carrier Dead.
Use Hiss. If you don't die, use Hiss Again.

Roach dies. Switch to Croaker.
Spam Water Jet and time Bubble to match/block against Sewage Eruption.
Finish off last boss this way. If Croaker dies, finish third boss' last bit of health with Syd.

IMPORTANT "CHEAT" - If you fail, especially if you are already partially through, log out on your character that is mid-dungeon and log in on one that has a pet battle bandage. Use it, then log out and back onto your other character. You will be able to continue on with full health for all pets.

You have to turn in the quest to Micro Zoox outside the dungeon for some reason. So just use him to teleport out after you defeat the final boss.

For the Leper Rat fight I used a combo with a cockroach pet that has Apocalypse and Magical Crawdad, useful for old timer fishermen that have gotten this nice little lobster.

You may use Apocalypse on round one, then switch to Magical Crawdad. Make sure you use Shell Shield to mitigate the rat's damage and use Wish whenever your pet's hit points get close to 50%. Rinse and repeat until the last round of Apocalypse, in which you switch back to your cockroach pet. You may use Survival to endure any damage the rat may bring upon you after its undead ressurrection. It's important to notice that your active pet will die ONLY after the rat is truly defeated (after the undead perk activates).

Blossoming Ancient was perfect for the first boss, Annoy-o-Tron. (Use Sunlight, Photosynthesis, then Ironbark. Refresh the others as needed.) It even had full health after beating him.

Not that unlike most pet bosses the bosses in this instance do not scale to your pet's level. So if you send a level 1 pet against them, they'll still be max level.

With all the Mechanical pets in this instance, Broot is awesome. I solo'ed a couple of the fights with him. Hit Sunlight, Regrowth and hit 3 times, repeat.

For the final boss I used all 3 Electrified Razortooth. His pummeling just kills himself.

Manapoof is an NPC; the "Manapoof Link" rewarded from this quest means he will teleport you places.

In BFA (as of Aug 2020) you can access Manapoof in 2 locations:

Manapoof - in the pet store in Dalaran, near Krasus Landing
Manapoof - in Boralus (Alliance city)
Manapoof - in Dazar'Alor (Horde city)
(OK, technically that's three locations, but without fighting into the other faction's city you'll only have convenient access to two.)

You can unlock teleports to:

Manapoof Link: Gnomeregan after you complete Gnomeregan's New Guardians
Manapoof Link: Stratholme after you complete Tiny Terrors of Stratholme
Manapoof Link: Westfall after you complete The Deadmines Strike Back

Can I just say, that as a returning player trying to level up Zandalari engineering, how freaking annoying it is to have to do pet battles to get one of the only recipes you can acquire to feasibly level up engineering? OR your only other option is a completely unrealistic farm of expulsoms? Whoever is in charge of making this decision can eat the biggest bag of D!cks in the world, especially now that the content is 5 years old, like cmon. I used to not mind the occasional pet battle in my free time but this feels so forced, I hate pet battles now.

Description

My personally-modified Mayhem Detection Device has been giving readings off the charts for the last few days. You might be thinking that mayhem and Gnomeregan are synonymous, and to an extent they are, but these readings are beyond anything I've seen before! I'm not totally sure what's going on inside of Gnomeregan, but something is different. If you are feeling brave enough, I can teleport you deep in there and you can see for yourself.
