On Whispered Winds popped up after login when 8.1 was live.

On Whispered Winds - meet Maiev Shadowsong in Stormwind
Waning Hope - speak to Prophet Velen (cinematic)
Shores of Fate - take the portal to Darnassus at the southern pier and travel to Ashenvale
Hope - find the items
No Survivors - kill 8 Veiled Deathstalker. Extra button Sentinel may help you to find them
In Darkest Night - speak to Maiev Shadowsong to start the scenario:
P1: click the rope, watch the dialogue
P2: assist Maiev Shadowsong when she gets attacked. Follow her to the marked areas until you are able to destroy Forsaken Blight Thrower and click the table (both marked with yellow dots)
P3: defeat Bilegut
P4: follow Maiev
P5: save 7 NPCs and save Ash'alah
P6: mount up on Ash'alah
P7: watch dialogue and kill the waves that are attacking
P8: go back to the middle and click the Eye of Elune (cinematic)
P9: speak to Tyrande and follow the road to north (49.4 36.8). Watch the roleplay
P10: follow Tyrande to the coast
P11: speak to Tyrande and fight against Nathanos Blightcaller. Ignore small adds. Defeat Brynja when attackable
P12: take seat on Darnassian Skytalon. Click Dori'thur (cinematic). You'll end in Boralus after that.
- turn in and gain Blessing of the Night Warrior

Hi all

After log in and move to Boralus Harbor you will get quest On Whispered Winds starting Tyrande's Ascension storyline after finish you will reach In Teldrassil's Shadow and Blessing of the Night Warrior.

Full storyline descryption:

1. On Whispered Winds - get it in Boralus Harbor from Dori'thur ( owl will follow you untill pick up quest ). You need to go to Stormwind Keep to see Maiev Shadowsong.

2. Waning Hope - You need to speak with Prophet Velen after see Video after return to Maiev Shadowsong.

3. Shores of Fate - Fly to Stormwind Harbor and take portal to Darnassus ( will move you to Darkshore ). In Darkshore speak at firts with Zidormi 49 24 to get to the past to unlock Flymaster then fly to Zoram Strand in Ashenvale ( You don't need to speak with Zidormi you can fly by your self ). Speak with Prophet Velen is on ship 11 18.

4. Hope - Pick up this Quest from Shandris Feathermoon ( is on ship to ) Now you need to pick up 3 items all on the beach:
- Elun'tara, Bow of the High Priestess 12 16.
- Discarded Nightsaber Bridle 11 14.
- Ancient Kaldorei Tome 10 14.
Back to Shandris Feathermoon after collect.

5. No Survivors - Pick up this Quest from Sira Moonwarden ( is on ship to ) Go on beach and kill 8 Veiled Deathstalker You can use Sentinel to find them as well this is picking up you critical rate to 100% if you will be in buff zone. Back to Sira Moonwarden after you will kill all.

6. In Darkest Night - Speak with Maiev Shadowsong to start scenario:
S1 - On Mid of ship is a rope press on it to take rowboat to land on beach.
S2 - On this Stage follow Maiev Shadowsong killing mobs coming from all sides after that take down Forsaken Blight Thrower then cross bridge and press on Seat of the goddess 35 67.
S3 - You will be in trap. Kill Bilegut and wait Maiev Shadowsong will do rest.
S4 - Follow Maiev Shadowsong.
S5 - Move on east to save 7 prisoners and Ash'alah 43 67.
S6 - Ride Ash'alah.
S7 - You need to defend until 100%. Will be 3 groups of mobs just follow Maiev Shadowsong to take down group by group.
S8 - All will group around Tyrande Whisperwind. You need to press on Eye of Elune to activate it ( is like a blue orb ).
S9 - Speak with Tyrande Whisperwind and follow Her to north ( She will not wait for you xD ) You will get to horde fort just stay next to Tyrande Whisperwind and wait until everthing will finish.
S10 - Follow Tyrande Whisperwind.
S11 - Before fight will start speak with Tyrande Whisperwind. Kill mobs ( they have a lot of hp but i did not take many dmg. from them ). When Nathanos Blightcaller will get to 30% you get trapped but with help will come Malfurion Stormrage. Brynja will join fight - You need to focus and kill Her.
Final Stage - Jump on gryphon to fly on ship speak with Dori'thur is Owl in corner. Pleasure a movie after that You will be teleported to Boralus. Finish Quest to Shandris Feathermoon. After finish this Quest you will reach Blessing of the Night Warrior and In Teldrassil's Shadow.

It must be noted that if you have this quest, the portal to Darkshore will disappear. If you are working Darkshore quests for alts, you must abandon this quest (and get that pesky owl back) or turn it in at the Stormwind Keep and then don't pick up the next quest. Not accepting the next quest will open up the portal again.

Warning - Doing this quest to get rid of the bird creates a phasing issue in the SW Keep. Normal NPC's are missing (at least in the throne area) until the entire quest chain is done - such a pain for alts who completed this quest to get rid of the darn bird and now can't do turn ins. GM response: "I just got your contact and I know it's really aggrivating to have to complete - but once you start the questline with 'On Whispered Winds' it must be completed entirely. " GG Blizz - did you learn nothing from Khadgar's head in the Order Hall's?

I just wanted to quickly note for those wanting to complete this now, you obtain it from Dori'thur who can be found by the Mission Command Table on the boat (around 70, 26) in Boralus harbour. Everything I read said he should appear to you when you enter Boralus, so I was so confused until I finally stumbled across him.

If you are trying to complete this 8.3 and beyond on a character that, for whatever reason, has not started black empire campaign, get to the part where you give magni his hammer and maiev will appear once magni wants you to return to the chamber of heart.

I had the same problem. I couldn't see Anduin sitting on his throne. I just saw Turalyon. As I thought: It was a phasing problem
Solution: Form a group with a low lv character. I asked a lv 20ish guy.

Let the low lv. character activate group sync

Now you should be able to see Anduin in the throne room.

Suggestion: Do the 2-3 quests in Stormwind with Anduin and Magni and leave the group when you need to enter the chamber in Silithius.

I'm just started playing in June 2020 and was dying to get this quest but couldn't find it ( even after finding the NPC on the ship and logging out multiple times.) After a day of research and nothing working, I decided to do the first few quests in Boralus that they have you do (ie. Sanctum of the Sage, A Nation Divided) and then the exclamation mark for the quest popped up on the ship. My tip as a new player who's been stuck on so many things and figuring it out on my own, I would say to just do the first few quests I mentioned for Tiragarde Sound and see if that works for you. WoW support said to finish Ny'alotha but don't do that.

For someone who hasn't done any BfA content, I was able to pick up the quest only after finishing Come Sail Away (is awarded to Alliance players who complete the Kul Tiras introduction quest chain, from Hour of Reckoning to A Nation Divided.

Dori'thur is on the ship at /way 70.55 26.75

do i have to do this quest line with all my alliance characters in order to make them able to participate in warfronts? does do it contribute to take darkshore back or just one char per account counts?

As of patch 10.0.2 my level 50 DH in SW can see this as a completable quest from Maiev, but when I click complete quest it says "You are not high enough level for that quest".

Here's what I had to do to unlock this chain on a character that has never done BFA content
1. Pick up A Dying World in Boralus and take the port to Silithus. I didn't see the port for some reason, so you may have to fly from Caverns of time.
2. Complete that short questline, a quest prompt for Tides of War should appear after you obtain the Heart of Azeroth. Accept that.
3. Do this entire chain. After finishing The Old Knight you should be able to pick up On Whispered Winds.

A bit tedious but it's mainly just walking around and talking to NPCs. Hope this helps.

If you're looking to complete In Teldrassil's Shadow in Dragonflight, however Dori'thur does not have the quest, completing the Kul Tiras intro should be the trick to fixing that. You can tell once the intro is done as you should recieve the Come Sail Away achievement (if not its just up to where you have to select which region to quest in on the map).
