Does anyone know where the Gryphon is meant to be?

There is a rope hanging from the wall close to Mariner's fp and on same level. Climb it to the top rampart where your gryphon awaits :)

If "Ride the Proudmoore Gryphon to safety" does not trigger try relogin and jump on the gryphon again. And remember that you can fly to the gunship as long as you have the quest. It worked for me.

Ranty McRant here. I did all the objectives but getting the stupid bird back to safety didn't count for some reason. I relogged. Nothing. I dropped the quest and now the repelling of the Horde wont work. Nothing counts towards the 4 needed. Thanks Blizz, just what I needed for my day off.

Be sure to only click the Gryphon once. It appears if you spam click it you will just be ported back to Boralus without credit. There are tons of people in the zones creating a bit of lag. Give it time to process your click command.

Relogging is, surprisingly, not necessary if the final stage of this quest bugs for you. Once you land in the market, simply take the flight master back to Mariner's Row, then rappel up the wall as before, and take the Proudmoore gryphon to the airship. Once there, click on it to fly back down, and the ending should trigger properly, marking the quest for completion. A touch annoying, but at least with a simple solution.

If your having trouble getting the last part of the quest to count, aka flying on the gryphon back to safety do these things:

1.) Do not abandon the quest. You'll have to do four more invasions and you wont have any more to do. So you wont be able to finish.
2.) Run back to the original gryphon to fly onto the boat.
3.) While on the boat, re-log. Doing so had my character re-spawn back on the boat without troubles. (Some are saying you dont have to relog. But hey. I like to cover all my bases to make sure it actually works, and you don't have that run-back to the original gryphon.)
4.) Only click the gryphon to return ONCE. Do not spam click it. One click, that's all.

The various Hoard attacks are difficult to find. I have found 3, but am unable to find the 4th. Could someone list where each of the attacks are?

Does anyone know what quests we're supposed to do for this quest? NOTHING APPEARS ON MY MAP! Once again, Blizzard goes live with an update that was clearly never tested!

Does this quest disappear if you completed it but did not return it at the quartermaster?

I had to get a quest to kill 4 horde forces, which i completed without any real issue. If you haven't done the quest before, well you need to run left from flight master in boralus, use the steps go up them and then follow the ramparts, eventually getting to a point where you need to jump off into the canal or river, opposite where you are some steps leading up back on to the bank, you will run into your first horde invasion, just kill the mobs , there are plenty of npc's around who help and of course other people on world quests. Once completed, if your not in warmode you will get 25k, from here just run straight ahead of you, eventually you leave the harbor and start climbing the bank, and this is where your second and third horde invasion is located. The forth is up the hill just blow everything up, kill some horde and done.
When completed I found I was able to see the glowing rope when i went back to its location, for some unknown reason (unfixed bug?) it originally wasnt there, well it was after i did the horde invasion, went to the ship, blasted it and its captain to bits and was as easy as it comes.
If you can get these horde invasions more frequently...try to get them all done before 120 is my suggestion for the xp, and the gained reputation especially with 7th legion. I completed the invasion and the boat within 10 minutes, it was pretty quick.

I can’t see the rope, and when I do get to the top, I can’t see the gryphons either.

I can see other players running to the spot, then a gryphon magically appears and whisks them away.

I have tried on my 120, and my 114 toon.

I have disabled all mods, cleared the cache, relogged multiple times, abandoned and re-accepted the quest a few times, but I still can’t see the rope or gryphon.

Has anyone else shared similar issues as I have? If so, did you fix it? How did you get it working?

Weird experience with this series of quests today. My 117 (ilevel 253) BM Hunter & pet kept getting one-shotted by the 117 elites. OK, that could happen and then others joined in and got those quests done. Nice XP with the Darkmoon buff except for having to keep renewing it. Darkmoon Top Hat helps.Then the same thing happened with the "normal" 117s in two of the other quests.

I haven't seen that before. I realize they're not making mail armor like they used to and it's overrated anyway but this is the first time I've encountered this kind of significant balance mismatch in the BfA special world quests.

Did I miss a memo?

The quest expects you to join world events in Tiragarde Sound where the Horde is attacking. These events look like small icons of the Alliance lion crest on a round brown background.

If you have flying, when the quest requires you to ride the gryphon to the airship and off it to safety, you can just use yourself/mount to get to and from there, and will still receive credit.

Where do you even go for this? I've seen it pop up and there's no horde attacking, there's no 'hop on to this bird' thing. It's like.. Ok Greymane, you keep being senile on that boat.

There is absolutely no indication of where to go to make anything happen, nor does anything automatically happen, nor is the map indication of where to be in order for happenings to occur.

Do I just need to comb the entire area for the one horde player/npc who might have punched a chicken or something?

I really hate this damn quest. Log into game...BAM! TAKE THIS QUEST! take a hearth back to Boralus...BAM! TAKE THIS QUEST!

escape doesnt ignore it. there is no cancel button. The only way to get rid of the damn thing is to accept it then trash it. Christs sakes! get the point, i dont want to do it anymore lol.

There is no need to accept the gryphon ride once you have completed trashing the zeppelin. You can simply fling yourself, screaming, into the harbor waters, and the game will treat this as if you have quietly mounted the gryphon. This will save you approximately 1.5 seconds.

You won't get any progress on the airship stuff until you do 4 other Tiragarde Sound defense quests.
