Also, it seems like you can have multiple people attack it at the same time.

Personally, I used a Electric Razortooth, a Ghost Shark, and a Sea Pony. I would strongly suggest keeping rip up and switching between the Electric and the Ghost Shark to use Blood in the Water. I would also suggest using 3 pets with Blood in the Water (as that's the most effective).

Worth noting that two-turn abilities (ie: Pump) get disabled so you can't use the second step right away.

I beat this pretty easy with the Leviathan Hatchling (2/1/1) and two Dancing Water Skimmers (1/1/2). Start with a Skimmer, do a Cleansing Rain, Pump, then Water Jet.

Switch in the Hatchling, Whirlpool, and Water Jet.

Then the other Skimmer and Pump/Water Jet.

First Skimmer back in Water Jet and use the second Pump step.

Probably well overkill.

Spineleaf is an Elemental pet, vulnerable to Aquatic abilities. It locks out any spell used for 6 rounds.

I used a levelling pet & 2 Aqua Striders:

Levelling pet: any DoT
Aqua Strider 1: Cleansing Rain, Pump, Water Jet
Aqua Strider 2: Pump, Water Jet, Healing Wave

Repeat 2 & 3 until dead

My lvl 25 Nexus Whelpling was able to solo this without issue.

Turn 1: Arcane Storm
Turn 2: Mana Surge, should kill him on the third turn of damage

edit: You'll probably need to mop up the last of it's hp with one little attack if RNG isn't in your favor, but otherwise you shouldn't even need to swap out from nexus whelpling!

Spineleaf is a rare level 25 Elemental with no backline pets and the following abilities:

Active:	Lash Spore Shrooms Photosynthesis
Passive:	Disruptive Spores

Note: "Flock" abilities bypass Spineleaf's passive, making pets like Ikky or a Zandalari Anklerender, Kneebiter or the new Shinchomper helpful. Users have listed multiple strategies, including a 2-pet carry (here). xp is marginal.

BfA added a 4th tentacled pal to the list of jelly and jelly-like fish. Use 3.

Pick Tentacle Slap, Rain Dance, Squeeze on all.

vs. Spineleaf

Spineleaf should be dead, but repeat 4-7 as necessary.

It might take a little longer but you can do this with 3 snails.

I found it out by accident really. I still had the snails from the last pet battle and forgot to change them.

Rapana Whelk 1,2,1
Shimmershell Snail 1,2,1
Silkbead Snail 1,2,1

You make sure that shell is up, then dive. then ooze touch. His hit may disrupt for 5 rounds. Switch to the next snail and move on from there. I switched like 5 times but still beat him with everyone over 3/4's health.

I was able to solo this with a Juvenile Scuttleback
claw, stony carapace and dive

This strategy came from Gershuun#1131 on Xu-Fu's Pet Battle Strategies.

Because I love 1 shotting pet monsters with ridiculous damage, since they give so little XP, and Iron Starlette is used on virtual every other one, I used Eternal Strider (P/S)/Chrominius/Unborn Val'kyr

This opponent does not scale with the level of your pets, so you cannot bring a bunch of level 1 pets to cheese it.

Have 3 snails of any breed with Dive; ie.Scooter the Snail, Rapana Whelk, Shimmershell Snail, Mudshell Conch, Silkbead Snail or Rusty Snail

Start witn Dive, change to next snail.
repeat until Spineleaf is defeated.

I didn't see this posted, he has an ability that puts spores on your pets (I assume it's on them, I didn't see a debuff but it worked anyway) that makes all of your pets' abilities have a 6 round cool down. So, plan accordingly. After a while, I noticed, even though the icon was still present on his side, my pet's abilities had their normal cool downs. I'm not sure if that was a glitch or if it just works like that. I've only fought him once.

My Strat:

Magical Crawdad - 2,1,1
Tree Frog - 1,1,1
Aqua Strider - 1,2,2 (make sure to use Pump FIRST since you have no way of receiving it's "second use" benefit.

Just kept using abilities (even the healing ones) and cycling through my pets. He didn't bring any of them to lower than 75% health.

You go against a 1 pet elemental.

My team is a (P/S) 1/1/1 Ghost Shark, a leveling pet, and a (B/B) 1/2/1 Electrified Razortooth. My notes are in the Rematch link below.

You can do this with level 1 pets, as it scales with your pets.

I just did it with 3 level 1 rare aquatic pets. You have to cycle them because of the 5 round spell lock, but I did it first try, with all level 1 pets.

I don't think it matters, but I used Slithershock Elver, Hydraling, and Left Shark, all level 1 rare

ok, so Ravenous Prideling can absolutely solo this fight!

Disruption on first turn to get rid of Disruptive Spores, and it's all good from there...use Life Exchange at an optimal point to snatch some more life away, and Seethe as filler...you'll probably finish with 400+ HP

Was able to solo with almost any rabbit/hare, tested several breeds and all of them worked perfectly even after the Stampede nerf.

1. Dodge
2. Stampede
3. Flurry
4. Pass
Repeat

Usually takes 16-17 rounds based on rng.
