This Bird You Cannot Change world quest is located in Drustvar Corlain Aviary on Kul Tiras isle at 32.14 26.38 .
To complete the quest destroy Wicker Charm and kill Hexthralled Falconer.
Hexthralled Falconer are easy to find around the area.
To destroy Wicker Charm you have to activate the falcon view with Falconer's Whistle.
Then point the target at Wicker Charm, which is hanging off the building and wooden poles, and press action button.

I ran around in the area to try the WQ to accept and it wouldn't. Then I realized my bags were full. It needs space for the Falconer's Whistle. Once I cleared my bags, the quest accepted.

Second time I've done this world quest, and after I shoot down the wicker charms the camera takes on a weird effect, it's like it starts lagging behind my toon's movements by a second or so. This effect persists after a /reload. Unsure what's going on there, it is a cool effect don't get me wrong but logging out may fix it.

I have just had the most unpleasant time trying to do this quest. Can someone please tell me where to stand so that I am not attacked every five seconds?

I have no chance at all of getting the wicker in target, before a falcon or falconeer attacks me.

You can't interact with the glowing wicker charms directly. Rather, use the Falconer's Whistle (button next to the quest text). If pressing the button doesn't do anything, try and /reload. You should get a targeting view with a special action bar.

Awful quest. For the charms, I've found clearing a spot in the middle of the marked zone then looking up high for glowing charms was the best way.
Having to go into vehicle mode just to target charms while surrounded by spawns is terrible implementation. Anyone would think Blizzard were new to designing quests.

You need a bit of luck with this Q. You need to have just enough (but not too many) other players in the zone so you can target the charms without being constantly interrupted by mobs. Try to get these done & dusted first if you can. Too many other players & it can take ages to kill the 5 Falconers you need as they don't spawn very frequently. Basically, timing when to take this Q is the key. GL.

The falconer's whistle appears in your bags. You can aim the targeting mechanism by centering the cursor on it, right click the mouse, and move the cursor while keeping the right click on the cursor depressed.

This quest seems to be bugged at the moment. When you target a Charm that's above your level (pretty much all of them) and then fire it, the targeting reticule moves down and to the right, so the falcon misses the target.

Awful targeting mechanism.

The graphic of the wicker charms often shows 2 charms, but when you hit one with the falcon, only 1 charm is broken. The other charm shows the name Wicker Charm on mouse-over, but is not affected by subsequent falcons, leading to confusion initially, and then irritation.

And what was Blizzard thinking with this quest? Throwing birds at hard objects? This implies we are killing birds, or at least injuring them. Aren't they supposed to be our friends? Don't the people at Blizz realize that birds are delicate creatures? I understand that the majority of the game is killing things and taking anything of value, but those are enemies, not allies.

The whole quest is just distasteful.

Okay. I just did this world quest for the first time. I *think* I found a super easy way to do it:

What I did, was, I landed on a lamp post at 31.40, 23.99. From there I easily was able to target and take out the charms. Although, I did get rudely interrupted by a couple of NPCs while standing there.

No big deal.
