Sparring on the Spar world quest is located in Tiragarde Sound Freehold on Kul Tiras isle at 72.54 81.41 .
To complete the quest push the opponent off the mast of the ship in the north-west part of Freehold.
To climb the mast use Strong Rope right under it.
Use your abilities to push the opponent off the spar.

The rope is still there (and usable) if you fail the first time, it's just no longer highlighted.

Hi all

On This Quest you will have some fun xD. Go on 2nd ship on left after bridge you will see rope use it and you will be move on mast to fight with your oponent. You need to push him/her back almost to the end. At start you will have 3 skills ( 1 to attack - pushing next 2 more to defend. Use def- attack attack def- attack ) When you will be close to take him/her down you skills will change and you stay with one shoot use it and you will win with honor O_o. If you will lose you can try one more time He/She can't shoot you xD that will be dishonorable :D.

If you don't beat your opponent, walk to the opposite end of the pole, and jump into the water.

Don't die jumping down onto the ship, like I did.

The aim of this is to push your opponent to the other end of the mast. Keep pressing the first button as a priority.

If your opponent wins, then jump off the far end into the water (rogues and druids in kitty form can simply jump down to the deck) and use the rope to climb back up again.

Edit: for non-stealth classes, the fastest way of reaching the quest is to climb up to the front (north) of the flight path platform, jump off and use a Goblin Glider kit to fly West to the ship in the water. If you don't have Gliders, but have a Water Walking mount, then the least mob-filled route is to the harbour and use a Water Strider mount to walk along the channel to the North, heading West.

Quest seems to bug out most of the time. Had to restart it 4 times until it eventually worked.

For fellow OCD purists, it's a spar (horizontal), rather than a mast (vertical) on which you'e dueling.

The number of things Blizz manages to get get wrong about sailing vessels is staggering (no, you can't keep a ship moored with all sail rigged, because it would pull its lines or grind against the pier; if a number of square-rigged ships in close formation tried to turn away from one on fire, they would likely collide and foul their rigging in each other's; and most of the time, unless they're really lucky and have the wind square on their sterns, the spars have to be angled to catch as much wind as possible, not remain perpendicular to the beam ). Really disappointing.

Memo to Blizzard designers: read a book or two from Patrick O'Brian's Master and Commander series (that's read, not watch the movie). You might enjoy them just as literature, you never know.

Had no sparring partner when I started this quest in stealth in cat form. Had to restart it and it worked fine.

First attempt: he pushed me back a bit then we stood 20 yards apart on the spar casting spells at each other for a few minutes with nothing happening.

Second attempt: I mashed 1 and pushed him off the edge and so I can't hit him any more to finish the quest (progress at 84%).

Third attempt: I mash 1 a bit more slowly and get credit for pushing him off , when we're only halfway to the end.

Does anyone test this stuff?
