First, go to 53.4 25.8, there's Child-sized Backpack near campfire spot.

A Beginner's Guide to Archaeology can be found at 53.4 23.3 spot, inside small cave with troggs.
Is it a Rock? How to Identify Relics is located inside another cave, coordinates are 53.0 22.5.
Half-eaten Journal is located in a trash pile at 51.9 24.2 spot.

This whole quest line is stupid, pointless filler material that is more difficult than it needs to be.

Troggs are densely packed - 10 yards and there's at least 15 or 20 of them at each of the two points you'll need to be.

"Tamed Boars" with a very short cooldown on their charge ability which knocks you in the air interupting your casting and pushing you into other mobs, making the already pointless need to kite even that much more of an annoyance.

Roots, AoE bombs, stuns, and snares. Am I in a questing zone or a dungeon? Why does every random creature in the game have an arsenal of mechanics when they reward nothing for defeating them? They're not even elite, not that it matter as their own quote: "Creatures with silver dragon are elite and drop better than average loot." hasn't been true in ages even though they still push that message.

The exp is slow, questing is slow with more filler than story. There's less mob density in dungeons.

World quests are copy/paste majority of the time, offering very little engaging content. It's more of a chore for rep than an incentive to revisit the zones and enjoy them. Most are just recycled filler quest from when you were leveling. The "talking head" has the same dialogue for almost every quest. Whether you're killing an elite creature from Drustvar or a trivial, two-shotable bee in Stormsong, you get the same "There's a powerful foe in your area, take it down so our streets are safer." Talk about immersion killing.

On immersion, and relating to density, the mobs are so packed that if you stumble upon a quest in the area you're completing another, you have two seconds to read it before the mob you just killed 10 seconds ago respawns or the boar aggro's and attacks you. I've had to pick up quests and leave the entire area to find a spot to read the text - (leading me to believe they want you to just auto-accept and look at the tracker. Yeah, immersive world.

Legion was an investment of time, thoughtfulness, and response to player concerns. I can reflect positively on the expansion - even through its short-comings, as no expansion can be perfect or for everyone. Maybe it was in response to how Warlords was poorly received and the impact it had on the population of the world and their bottomline. I'm not a shareholder of blizzard, I don't receive intel on their operations, I just see what's publicly made available. So, I cannot speak on the reasons there was a shift between that and Legion from an inside perspective. With that said, I can speak from the perspective of a person who's stuck through and through with the game as a player and an active member of the community for the past 15 years. In that regard, I can say that this expansion: the design, the quality assurance, and the connection with, and respect for the playerbase has tanked by a considerable amount - in my honest, wholeheartedly objective opinion,

Has this game reached the point where the resources needed for the polish and quality of yesteryear diminished as a result of increase in costs? Is it safe to assume that with Blizzard charging 80 dollars for the expansion to include a month of time and a transmog, that the quality will increase? Would a raise in the subscription fee allow for more time to be devoted to improvement and innovation?

Or could it be that Blizzard, just isn't Blizzard anymore? There's been so much turnover that a fragment of the original team remains. An analogy, I suppose, could be that the Jones family living at 123 Gaming St could come to be known as the "Jones's house," but when that family moves to another place, is it really still the Jones's house or just a mere title?

I stay with the game because I am invested in this game. I make memories in it regardless of the politics surrounding the decisions the developers make. I stay committed with it.

Maybe I'm just burned out and need to move on?

I guess that's a question none of you could answer.

I thought that maybe this was an unknown intro to Archae in Shadowlands as up to now I can find stuff doing archae but can never collect in Beta. Elsewhere I've seen where Archae is being done away with in Shadowlands. A pity as if they (Blizz) were to tweak it, then it'd work well.

Thank the Light! I was taking care of my grandson and his friends. I told them to play quietly while I took a nap. When I woke up they'd left a note saying they were 'Going on an Expedition'. They think they'll find Titan relics in the trogg caverns! They're too young to fight troggs and I'm too old! My bad knee almost gave out getting here. You look strapping. Find my grandson and the rest of the 'Adventurer's Society'. Send them home!
