The items are located in caves. All 3 entrances are found underwater and you can see them if you jump into the lake and look towards the shore. Aim the camera at an upwards angle to make it easier to find the entrance.

All pylons are located in underwater caves.

Southern Corrupting Pylon located in inderwater cave, the entrance is at 31.4 29.1.
Eastern Corrupting Pylon located in underwater cave, entrance can be found at 33.8 25.4 spot.
Finally, Western Corrupting Pylon in underwater cave far west, travel to 30.7 21.8.

Before your start pick up Eldritch Invocations from Brannon Stormsong since Director Deepwarden is in the cave that contains the Western Corrupted Pylon.

1. Eastern Corrupting Pylon

Turn your back to quest giver Brother Therold and walk along the spit towards the large rock with pine trees on top. Walk half way around the edge of the rock, then jump into the water.
You'll be directly over the cave entrance.
The cursor looks like it's on top of the quest givers.

2. Southern Corrupting Pylon

From the cave entrance to the Eastern Corrupting Pylon swim diagonally to the right. This Southern cave is higher up and easier to see.
The curser looks like it's on the southern shore, just to the left of the word "Angleport Wharf".

3. Western Corrupting Pylon

From the Southern Corrupting Pylon swim diagonally to the left toward the submerged prow of a ship.
Pass under the prow and swim over the sunken stern. You'll see the cave entrance.
The curser looks like it's on the northern shore (to the left of the quest giver).
This cave also contains Director Deepwarden who is the object of Eldritch Invocations.

Although you have Favor of the Sea that gives you underwater breathing, you can turn yourself into a fish if you have Underlight Angler.

RE: final turn-in of Deep Sea Defilement

The minimap shows a solid yellow "?" while you are in the cave and is confusing.

Go back ashore and turn in at the questgiver in the village!

As of April 2020 the quest seems to be bugged.

I've encountered this sort of issue with multi-point quests before, too.

It marks the quest points in the wrong order, making it impossible to finish the quest.

For example, when you tag the East pylon, it will mark the Southern pylon as done, so you can't actually complete the East pylon because it's been activated, but the game marked the Southern pylon.

Be aware that the respawn rate of the mobs in the caves are insane. Expect to fight the same ones at least a couple times before you can destroy the pilon and get back out into the water.

Get down low and look up . It's much easier to see the cave entrances this way.
