Completing this quest unlocks the Quartermasters for both Army of the Light and Argussian Reach.

Well, if you watch the cutscene ''The Fate of Xe'ra'' ... You understand why Illidan did what he did. Xe'ra was no better than Sargeras/Void Lords when it comes to forcing people to do what she wanted.

Frankly, I knew it from the moment she blamed us for killing Illidan in the first place. As if we had prophetic vision to see what was he really planning. I hope Turalyon will be smarter than this and realize Xe'ra was wrong in her action against Illidan that CAUSED her own death.

It also shows, a 'pure' being is always dangerous. Pure Shadow or Pure Light, they are not known to be reasonable because they cannot accept anything other than what their being contains. Mortals are a mix of both so they can rise above both, like Illidan did. As much as I don't like ''Illidan the Chosen One'' stuff, I am glad he refused to become the Kerrigan of WOW(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

I was looking forward for more jerks on the side of good in Warcraft (I find many good major characters to be quite... uninteresting), but Xe'ra is too much of a jerk IMO.

I'd rather take Garithos first, why thank you, Prime Naaru.

Suddenly Illidan turned into first relatable character of this whole story. Yep, pretty sure I'd do the same thing if some "light" creature tried to force me into their vision of "good"... assuming I had eye lazers, of course.

Also the author of this questline wasn't exactly subtile about where this is going - this Xe'ra seemed fishy to me from the first time it appeared.

I've been playing a human Paladin since Warcraft 3 (Seriously, it was the only hero I used back then, and I only played human. Big Uther fanboy back then and when I made my character)

I have to say: Xe'ra got what was coming to her. A'dal was a far better ally, far more representative of what the Light is, and all it did was hang around protecting Shattrath.

That is what the Light is supposed to do. Protecting and inspiring others. We've seen what happens when you start using it to make sacrifices for the greater good; It ends with purging cities and toppling kingdoms in the name of righteousness.

Apparently I moved before I could turn this in and there's no question mark on the map now. Anyone know where I turn this in? If I figure it out, I'll answer my own question so others who get stuck like I did (playing way too late at night while sleepy) can find a solution fast. :)

Also opens up The Vindicaar Matrix Core, profession quests like Counterbalancing, and possibly The Wranglers (although that last one might require An Offering of Light which is two quests later).

Almost as soon as the cutscene started I realized what was going to happen, I was not disappointed.

The whole intro zone part sort of was putting various nails in the coffin as well

The "army of light" that is a not all that large.. and has one ship and can't even take one hit.
The overall weakness of the army and how turalyon was giving off blind admiration vibes( he sounds like a naive Disney Prince)
Imprisoning alleria for studying shadow magic.

As another poster mentioned earlier, even from far earlier when she was blaming me for killing Illidan.

She/it has been manipulating people to serve it's own ends which may not really be good, seeing as how Naaru have dark cycles and she is a "pure light/order" she may not really be capable of relating to "regular" races as we even know it, she is more of an apex light elemental/concept and less of a person, probably had no clue what was coming or what she was doing was wrong.

It is the good and bad, the mix of various things that make up a person that make them a person, that make them able to compare, contrast and understand things. It is probably why "lesser", "impure" naaru seem at a glance to be more relatable.

She seems to basically have been yet another insane cult leader, who was only good in the sense that the other choices were legion and old god forces.

Makes me wonder if lothraxxion is truly good/light on his own, or if he was "force purged" of fel and just a good little doggy serving his master.

If yo're here looking for an answer as to why Turalyon disappears and you have no place to turn it in after the cinematic, you've come to the right place

You can start the quest at each of the Vindicaar's but you can only complete it at the Krokuun Vindicaar

Xe'ra's definitely in the wrong here, but...

Xe'ra: Your old life has passed. The Light will forge you a new one.
Illidan: It is not yours to take!

I remember Illidan taking the lives of his fellow mages, to merely just power himself up more. His sacrifices usually are other people's sacrifices, and he's unwilling to get powered up with the Light, involving not murdering any of his allies. "The Legion's end is all I seek." Nope. He still seeks not having to listen to anyone else. And it might have been what got the planet stabbed.

Anyways, after the video, look at Lothraxian standing up above, probably having a good chuckle at orchestrating this chaos. He probably gave bad advice to both Xe'ra and Illidan. "oh, ya, it will be cool. I resisted at first and you totally made the right call." "She's so great, the only thing that will stop her is death."

If I wasn't in love with Illidan Stormrage before this, I am now. The part where he says "I AM MY SCARS!" just kinda cemented it for me. Why did this scene have to be so damn relatable?

I've done this quest on many alts now. Every time, I watch the cut scene. I so enjoy watching Illidan kick Xera's ass.

I have a ... different take on this cutscene.

When Xe'ra says "The Prophecy must be fulfilled," she's saying she KNOWS what is going to happen next. She is deliberately goading Illidan into destroying her, so that a prophecy that we HAVE NOT HEARD ABOUT (but which Xe'ra knows) will be fulfilled:

She's teaching the denizens of Azeroth, and Argus, to stand up for themselves. She and the other Na'aru are sick and tired of everybody whining to them whenever something goes wrong, like a bunch of little babies.
