This quest is currently bugged out for me, the screen goes black when I try to go meet Pinky and then ports me back to the trainer.

I completed it today, 01/06/2018, it took 3 attempts to get it to finish. Make sure Pinky is in the arena then go to the Quest giver for completion.

As of the current beta build (6/6/18,) the quest is still buggy but doable. It seems that several of the healing plants don't activate when you walk over them, but some do. More importantly, it appears that objectives can sometimes randomly not complete as you pass certain barriers or checkpoints, rendering the attempt useless. Give it a few tries and everything should work out on one of them, though.

Yep. Took me 3-4 tries. The whole point is to take a tour of the grounds with a mean ***saur and a slow direhorn. Also the direhorn rush has a very slow CD, so don't waste it. You need to bust through gates with it. The healing plants are few and far between and a grassy green. If Pinky hits you, you will also be flipped around, so be prepared to turn 180 degrees fast.

First, speak to Kraal Master B'khor on the road and mount Direhorn.
Go into the pit, where Pinky is. As the fight seems to go bad you have to run off.
Ride to the north gates and follow the road, using Charge ability when it's out of cd.
After distracting toy become avaliable, drop it to distract Pinky. Keep moving until the end.

Go down to the road and speak with Kraal Master B'khor
He mounts you on the Direhorn and now you have only 1 ability
Meet Pinky in the arena. He kills his master and starts following you.
Run away from Pinky to the north. Just spam 1-st spell (speed increase for a short time)
You get 2-nd spell (to distract Pinky with toys)
and now you have to spam 2 buttons

You can also pick up food (green flowers) to heal yourself.

If you are having problems completing the "Escape out the North gate" step, try running along the far right of the gate.
Took me a while to figure this out :(

I did not get a button for the toy, but it still works. So go ahead and press 2 anyway, when npc says so.

Had some trouble getting the quest to complete, but I finally did it by not using the toy. Distracting the devilsaur made it stop for too long and despawn, I just made sure to run over the healing plants. You can easily get to the end with the devilsaur on your tail, and the end of the quest triggered correctly.

I also made sure to dismiss my pet, as through long experience I've learned that having a quest pet like the direhorn and a class pet doesn't always play nicely together.

Still pretty buggy, no matter how hard I tried to follow the fence line or through the water and through the fence, Pinky pulled me to the center of the arena and took a good two swaps, not sure if this did it, but, I reloaded my UI and got it the first attempt after the reload. and I used the toys.

This was buggy at first but I figured out that if you hit the gates head on and not at the corner, it'll work. Don't run into the grass, stay on the path, and still use the toy.

If you're having trouble with this completing at the end, just stand on top of the quest giver until it finishes.

It's kind of humorous how whenever Blizz does something different like this they can't seem to do it without it being a buggy mess. On one hand it's nice to see them trying different things, but on the other you kind of wonder why they do it if they can't get it right.

I can pretty much guarantee that this quest will never be fixed completely.

At the very end where it bugs out, I went left where the Handler starts and stayed put.

I took the advice to not use the toy and to stay out of the underbrush and hit doors head on (rather than the corners) and snack on leafy heals...

Took six+ attempts.

Ugh buggy as hell.

I also put in a ticket asking Blizzard to give me quest completion - maybe THAT helped too, eh?

NOTE: If your tooltip is bugging, remove addons and relog.

Step 1: Run along path
Step 2: Run over Green Plants (Heals you) to stay alive.
Step 3: Use Sprint to get through Doors

Toy: I used this once when I first got it and did not need to use it again.

This quest bugged on me over 10 times where it did not display the abilities of the Direhorn until I removed my addons and relogged. I don't have any addons that directly mess with my UI, but clearly there is something that doesn't mesh. I also overlooked the plants that heal you. This one was huge because I kept getting dazed and 1 daze without heals equals certain death.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone.

Have done this several times without a problem but today it would not complete. Logged out and back in and then ran the course again and it completed. Whatever...

I've found some parts of it to be slightly buggy (like when you have to return your direhorn after training) but overall I love this so far!

I dont know if someone mentioned but I need to say that you need to be 120 level so you can go on with the questline or else you get stuck in an endless sleep. I could start the quest line for this so I can make the achievement and get the mount when I was 112 but at some point when i stabled for first time the direhorn it started to sleep and for the next days I received no follow up quest. My husband on the other hand had no problems. I logged in and logged out, tried some stuff and nothing was working and the problem was that I was not 120. After that every level I was taking I was going to check if I have an available quest and it only apeared when i became 120. Being 120 level was no requirement to make the first step of the achievement "How to train your Direhorn", so I didnt think immediately that my characters level was the problem. Also at the same time I tried to get Lil'Ben'Fon and Lil'Tika which was easy and there was no problem being low level.

Impossible to complete. Half the time, the run resets when meeting Pinky. If you make it past, the direhorn darts back toward Pinky, and you die in one hit. If you make it past the gate immediately after Pinky, you don't make it to the toys, no matter how you do it. The one time out of at least 50 tries I made it to the toys, I got it, dropped a toy, and the run reset. Again. BLIZZARD! Fix this! It used to be doable. A year ago, it was /hard/, but not impossible like now!
