If it's bugged for you on the Alpha

As we have learned in Zul'Aman the first 4 bosses there were Akil'zon, Nalorakk, Jan'alai and Halazzi, the reason this quest is bugged and nothing happens when you click on the gong, cause there are only 2 bosses up, and the other 2 are missing which will probably require a server restart :)

Take the huge stairs up in front of you and turn right on next floor.
On Terrace of the Speakers follow the road to the right into Tal'aman.
At the end of the road you will find the Ancient Gong
/way Zuldazar 60.05 58.18 Gong
Use the Gong to challenge NPCs
Kill 4 and go back.

To complete the quest you have to defeat Amani Disciples.
Follow the central starts up and turn right to the wing where Amani trolls are.
Follow the road and turn south when the road splits, there's a gong at 60.0 58.2 spot.
Use this gong to challenge Amani Disciples and defeat them to complete the quest.

As of release patch, we were unable to click the gong in my 2 person party due to a bug. One member logged all the way out, when they logged back in they were in a different phase but it let us click and proceed.

Bugged as of 8/25/2018 but still completable.

Killed the first 3 mobs fine. The bear was last and when I clicked the gong he jumped down from his platform and immediately despawned. The rest of the enemies respawned immediately and I couldn't click the gong. I waited approximately 30 seconds and was able to click the gong again and killed Jan'alai again and got credit. So while it is bugged you can still certainly complete it since you don't need to kill each individual enemy for credit.

As of January 11, 2019, this quest appears to still be bugged. I'm on my Feral Druid, which is my 10th level 120 and this is the first issue I've had with this quest. I assumed it was because as soon as I clicked the gong, I went into stealth and the Bear reset, leaving me unable to click the gong again. I continued trying to click it every 30 seconds or so, for about 4 or 5 minutes, and was still unable to click it. I was worried I'd need to drop the quest and pick it back up, and still worried because I wasn't sure it was going into stealth that caused it. I figured I'd try relogging before I dropped the quest, and that did work.

It's extremely disappointing that this expansion has been SO buggy, and even more disappointing that it continues to be in this state. I'm just glad for sites like this one, and folks like all of you who are willing to take the time to let others know that things are broken, and what you did to fix it.

117 Death Knight. Picked this quest up today April 2nd 2020, went up the stairs and ran into hostile mobs. The video I watched showed them neutral. If I have to spend much time fighting my way to the gong I'll just do it later.

Apparently, this quest is still bugged, 4 years later in 2023. That's pretty unreal if you ask me.

Have to actually log out and back in in between killing the disciples.

Go into Tal'aman and look for their mighty gong. Challenge four of their disciples to combat and slay dem.
