Do not fall off the mountain. There do not seem to be grappling hooks on the Drekirjar side and the flight master in Acherus does not let you fly to the peak a second time. I have no idea how to get back up short of farming the 7,5k rep I'm missing for flight. Amazing.

You probably know that, but just in case: if for some reason skill in the middle of your screen doesn't show up, just /reload.

If you do something silly like me and jump down without grappling and die,the easiest way back to up where you need to be to light the fire is to fly upto the Ironhorn Enclave, Highmountain and then goblin glide down to the quest area again. Much easier than trying to get back up there. You make it easy with a glider, infact you have to circle a few times before you come to a nice landing on the top of the mountain behind the Drekijar Shrine-Keeper.

I just did this quest and while flying over Suramar in the dark ocean (near the Murky WQ to the east), phasing gave me a mortal blow. Daumyr despawned and I happened to fall on the tiniest island in an otherwise vast and empty sea. I died and had to take res sickness, but the quest still counted as "Complete". I did miss the dialogue and whatever happens as you reach Acherus, but at least I didn't have to redo the whole thing.

I suppose that's how she gets her revenge on us for killing her and turning her into an undead minion.

You have to travel back to the point where you found Minerva when arrived to Stormheim. Use grappling hooks to get down, or gliders.
If you have Legion flight skills, just ride a mount. Use stone brazier at 51.2 84.3 to summon Daumyr. Defeat her and revive as undead.
Jump onto Daumyr, she will take you to Acherus. You also have to listen to Minerva's comments during the flight, they are good.

This may be obvious, but if you are stupid like me and light the brazier while someone is fighting Daumyr, and you don't get a chance to kill and raise her, just abandon the quest quest and re-accept it.

My problems with this quest.

First time. Everything went great up until I raised her and instantly mounted. Then the quest changed to "Mount and ride..." and since I couldn't mount it never went up from 0/1. Dismiss quest was only thing that helped.

Second time. Everything went great again. Until I killed her. I couldn't raise her again. I get "Raise Daumyr" eab but clicking it does nothing.

Third through Seventh time same as second. Now waiting for ticket response.

Also tried with addons disabled. No difference.

If you can't spell Raise Daumyr.
Do the following step

1. turn off all addon and retart game
2. abort campaign quest
3. go to The Bonemother
4. minerva reappeared then you can take the "Thorim's Beacon lit" quest.
5. call daumyr then you just have to die from daumyr.
6. get back your body and kill the daumyr.
7. then you can cast "Raise Daumyr" button.

Dammit, Blizzard why do you do this to me. We're supposed to be playing the heroes of the story, and you're making the Ebon Blade almost as bad as the Legion. I've managed to get through the rest of the Death Knight quests without doing anything too terrible. I even invaded the paladins' class hall without killing anyone, thanks to an invisibility potion. But now, after I rescued and befriended the Thorignir, now you want me to kill one of them, a sapient being from a friendly faction, and raise her as an undead slave. If I weren't such a completionist, and if there weren't a mount and three pets locked behind doing this, I would drop this quest and never look back.

If you abandoned this quest, it has AUTOSTART, while in the correct zone. Go to 50/84 and the quest will be offered from an NPC that follows you around.

To get up the Mountain you need to use the hooks embeded in the stone. But the boss will spawn right there anyway, once you started the quest.

The Bonemother

Light Thorim's Beacon at Thorim's Peak to raise Daumyr. Defeat her and raise her from death.

Description

It's time to call the mother, the true reason we came. She is strong, her sheer will and strength allowing her to face this peak in order to watch over the remains of her brood. While the Thorignir is a grand sight, I like my dragons a little more bony. She must die first.

Remember the pyre where we met? She is its guardian, as the spirit was at the peak. If we light it, she will come.
