Questline just ended for me when I introduced that one chic Arluelle to Thalyssra. This quest did not pop up. Sooooo stupid.

When showing the signet to a guard, there's a chance he/she will attack you, calling you a traitor.
However, if you have any ways to get out of combat without killing the guard and use the disguise again, you can try using the signet once more, and the outcome could change.

I approached a Subjugator and used the item
Reaction: You dare show yourself here! Die, fiend!
Feign Death, disguise, used again on the same Subjugator.
Reaction: I knew there were others! I will no longer bloody my hands for Elisande!

So either the guy is really confused about what side to choose, or he wanted to be extra sure I was a rebel and not just pretending to be one.

Go to the central dock, there are many Duskwatch Subjugator mobs. Show them your Dusk Lily Sigil. Subjugator will attack you or will agree to desert. So, find five deserters to do the quest. Also, you dont need to run there mounted, there's a violet rune painted on the floor — Slowfall rune, interract with it and you'll be sended to the dock.

1st: Don't swim there. There is a rune near the teleporter that will float you to the harbor area.

2nd: If RNGeebus (search homer simpson jebus since i cant post links yet) hates you like he hates me, you will be here all day. I had about 1 rebel identified in 15 minutes before I changed my strat. Go to an area such as 51, 69, where there are multiple nightborn, and keep showing the dusk lily to them. When they get mad at you for the 50th time, just run into the water until they unagrro. Pacify abilities will not really help here. (As a monk, i used the chance loot infinite roll from the class hall keg to help me speed this part up).

Simply repeat until you beat the quest!

A neat little trick that I inadvertently discovered was to cast Polymorph on the target guard while you're still in your masquerade disguise and before using the Dusk Lily Sigil. This way if they end up not liking you, it doesn't force you into combat and so you can move right along to try out the Polymorph/DuskLily Sigil on another guard. I suspect that this process may work with similar crowd controll effects (like Sap or Hibernate) but I've only tried it on my mage.

This isn't a very difficult or time consuming quest and I doubt many people will even come to this page to read up about it but I thought this trick was kinda cool and felt like sharing!

As of 4/23/17 I found the success rate per attempt to be quite high. While it could be I was just very lucky, I had one call me Traitor out of 6 attempts. In that case (Hunter), I was able to Feign Death, and when I reattempted with the same NPC he converted. There are pairs of them at the end of some of the docks such as 51, 72. Flight is a big help now with the Pathfinder 2 achievement and made getting in and out of Suramar a breeze. I would go so far as to recommend holding off on any Suramar quests until you unlock flight if possible.

Description
