I am having trouble completing this quest. When I go to Moon Guard Stronghold I do not see any questgiver NPCs. Is this an over-arcing quest where the other quests you do weekly eventually complete it, or should I open a ticket?

I was also stuck on this questline when a passing stranger was helping me with a world quest and offered a word of advice - "Go to where the flight path bombing starts in the Moon Guard hold in Suramar." At the time that made no sense to me, but I looked for it anyway. I crossed the bridge in to the stronghold and worked my way to the back end of it, where I noticed a bunch of hippogryphs fighting the guards at the bottom of a flight of stairs. The quest giver was in the back, asking me to tell the hippogryphs that it was time to leave, they were no longer safe here.

Once I had *that* quest, it unlocked the whole chain. I hope that helps, and I apologize for not having an exact location.

The quest that starts this line is at 31.8 , 22.7 in Suramar -Moon Guard Stronghold.

I don't know if you have to complete the quest with the 5 hippogryphs first, but for me, the person to start this questline is at 27.8 21.2. He was in an iceblock surrounded by 4 mobs. When I approached he came out and offered me the quest :-)

I Dont know for everyone but i had completed the whole Suramar questline and got the mount from Guldan's Quest even, but for my alts i had to complete the Moonguard Stronghold quest line completely to be able see the quest takers/givers in Shal'Aran with Archmage Kalec near them.

I was given this on my alt while my main was not and I think I know why. It was given to me by Archmage Kalec during Balance of Power You have to unlock Court of Stars and The Arcway dungeons in Suramar, as they are the next quest in the chain.
you can check both the links to the dungeons for info on how to unlock each, or you can unlock them while doing Draenor Pathfinder for your flying in legion

To "aid the Moon Guard" (for the Balance of Power storyline), visit Thalrenus Rivertree at 28,21 to start the Moon Guard quest chain.

Description

The Moon Guard were once among the most powerful sorcerers on Azeroth. Most assumed their ranks demolished after the War of the Ancients, but it seems they have managed to survive in their ancient stronghold in Suramar!

I believe they could be valuable allies in our quest if they still oppose the Legion.
