Can be found off a Wyrmtongue Toady located in The Fel Breach of Felsoul Hold. There's also an unpowered telemancy beacon for quick access.

Alternatives are the Overburned Taskmaster or Abhorrent Artificer found around Felsoul Hold.

I found this from a Wyrmtongue Toady *MODEL* (looks like it), but it was some overburdened taskmaster. He was at 25.4, 63,7 in Suramar, in front of the cave. He dropped one Fel Deconstructor.

Very low droprate, don't know why, I killed like 15 of these dudes, started to think there was some gimmick thing I wasn't aware of, but it finally dropped. Since there are so few of these guys around, it seemed unnecessary to put such a low droprate.

You turn in the quest in a cave. The path to the cave starts at 30,72.

To give a better description of how to get there, since this was really hard to find for me. Go down about midway. In the chasm, at 32, 70, there are Felsoul Crushers wandering up and down the main path. When you get to 32,70 coordinates, there is a group of three demons standing to the side - a Shivan Strivebringer and two Wrathguard Fury. The path up to the cave is just a tad bit north of them and to the right if you're facing south (to the left if you're facing north). A much easier way to the cave is from the river. The path up starts at 26.2, 73.9. Go up, and the cave is on the left. I hope that helps some of you avoid the mad search I went through at the top and bottom of the chasm!

The best source for this quest is the Arcway (not the dungeon instance). Once you walk through the entrance, open your map and the location for the mobs that drop the item will appear. I got the item right away from the marked mob.

If you leave the quest cave and go down the path. At the bottom turn sharp left. 2 Wyrmtongue mobs are there with 2 other normal mobs. If you get lucky (like me) the item might drop.

Can also be looted in Suramar city, in Artisan's Gallery, since the same demons are here too.

Obtained mine (solo) from Abhorrent Artificers at the Fel Cannon at 30,78.
They both dropped one. They were my 9th and 10th kills.
It confused me greatly, as despite picking them up, and the quest completing, they don't appear anywhere in my bags.

I found " fel deconstructor " at 49 , 82 Suramar City .by killing 3 mobs.

This is definitely one of those Blizz quests where you think "could you give me a bit more information?" There is not much in the wording of this quest that gives you any clue of where to find this. I started chasing imps. Only by mousing over mobs did I find the ones who drop it, and as others have said, not a great drop rate.

For the quest A Different Source, a great spot to ambush Abhorrent Artificers (which drop Fel Deconstructor) is between rocks at

/way Suramar 30.6, 73.4 Ambush Artificers

This spot leaves you safe from the other NPCs due to LOS. Melee classes will need to PULL the Artificer(s) to the spot.

As other people have noted, the drop rate was low, and I killed several of the small cannon guys that were the only ones showing as dropping the quest item. I did notice that after I'd killed all of them around the canyon, the active area of the quest changed to a smaller area.

I found an Overburdened Taskmaster patrolling in front of the cave at 25.4, 63.5, who finally dropped the Fel Deconstructor. Since he was the only one patrolling and not guarding a cannon, plus the fact that the active quest area on the minmap changed to just that small area, I thought maybe he might be the one intended to drop it. If I complete this on another character, I'll check it out. Otherwise, if anyone else has additional data confirming or denying this, it would help.

It dropped very quickly for me. Maybe I'm just lucky. But it dropped off one of these toady mobs in Felsoul Hold (in the tunnel near the entrance).

These are NOT a part of the leatherworking quests. (Demon Flesh) Which are in the same cave.
