I got this quest after completing a heroic and it didn't count. Does anyone know if this quest is repeatable?

After you turn in Mystery Notebook, this leads to a serious of quests. Numismatics is the first quest you get to start acquiring Misprinted Draenic Coin. These can be acquired by completing the first random heroic dungeon each day. They are used as currency to get the items to upgrade heirlooms. After you complete each quest, you will get the quest that follows it.

Quest: Numismatics Reward: Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing.
Quest: Completionism Reward: Timeworn Heirloom Armor Casing.

Love how they found this supposedly coming from stuff OTHER THAN dungeons yet it goes live and suddenly you have to go into these horrid dungeons for the dang coins. Blizzard just wants to take the fun out of everything. I'd rather save up gold or such and buy these things. The dungeons in this xpac are too annoying to bother with the headache just for this.

Quest log is not indicating it but you must queue as RANDOM in order to acquire coins.

The timer for coin rewards resets on daily quest reset timer, not the later in the day heroic dungeon timer.

The Question Mark for turn in on the map is on the opposite side of the Rogue's quarter from where it actually is, you turn it in right where you pick it up.

First off, apologies for spamming across all pertinent quests.

Part of the quest series to reward Heirloom upgrade tokens from doing random Heroic Dungeons in Draenor (first one of the day, per character).

Start with Mystery Notebook, turning it in to Estelle Gendry in Undercity who will then give the quests (in order, listed for convenience):
Numismatics which rewards Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing after turning in 5 Misprinted Draenic Coin.
Completionism which rewards Timeworn Heirloom Armor Casing after turning in 10 Misprinted Draenic Coin.
A Curious Oddity which rewards Ancient Heirloom Scabbard after turning in 25 Misprinted Draenic Coin.
The Same, But Different which rewards Timeworn Heirloom Scabbard after turning in 50 Misprinted Draenic Coin.

Some things to note:

You only get Misprinted Draenic Coin from the first random Heroic Dungeon each day, and they seem to drop 1-5 (usually 2 or 3, though) coins.
Even if you have any of the collection quests completed but NOT turned in, you can still get coins in the Heroic Dungeon. That is, you queued and went in, THEN realized you haven't turned in one collection quest and received the next – not to worry, you will get coins!
This might not seem like a lot, but for people with multiple characters grinding away, you will notice your heirlooms "leveling up" fairly quickly.
In fact, you will continue to get coins even after the final quest – which is NOT repeatable. (source: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/16412041719?page=4#78)

Correct. They have no use once you've completed the final quest.

Does anyone know that is this questline restricted for max 2 characters only? I haven't got this quest with my other lvl 100 characters.

Just did a random Heroic Dungeon and got 6x Misprinted Draenic Coin.

If you dont want to travel to undercity each time to turn in the quest of the whole questline, you can just keep this first quest in your questlog, and collect 90 coins.
Then you are able to turn in all quests at once.

This quest is still working in Legion, I queued for a random Heroic, did Eye of Azshara and got 5 coins.

This quest no longer seems obtainable. I have tried it on multiple alts, boosted and non-boosted, and I cannot receive the quest anymore. Anyone know for sure if it has been removed? Mind you, I do have at least one alt who still has the quest.

This quest is still available in 7.1.0, but be warned that this is the first in a quest chain that will be impossible to complete unless you visit the EXP Annihilator for your faction. The quest chain is as follows:

Mystery Notebook
Numismatics
Completionism
A Curious Oddity
The Same but Different

These quests require you to run Draenor Heroics dungeons, with the first each day giving you a chance at coins. If you do not stop your EXP, you will reach level 101, and be unable to complete the quest line.

As these quests reward Heirloom upgrades which will save you a lot of gold, I highly recommend halting your level until you have completed them all on your character. Slahtz for Horde, Behsten for Alliance.

Ok so my question is this. It says to do Random Heroic Draenor dungeons. Now that Legion came out how do you do a random Heroic Draenor? Do I assume to get Draenic coins from a Random Legion Heroic? Seems kinda contradictory. Draenic coins from Legion dungeons.

how i can join random Heroic Dungeon on draenie if i have 110 and i cant see any random heroic Dungeon in Draenie ?

Completing your first daily Random Legion Heroic drops Misprinted Draenic coins. So this quest can be completed even at level 110.

The precursor quest Mystery Notebook is not available after you hit level 101. However this quest
"Nuismatics" can be obtained directly by visiting either Estelle Getty in Undercity (Horde) or Krom
Stoutarm in Ironforge (Alliance).

As of 8.0.1, this can be completed at level 120 by doing a random Battle for Azeroth heroic. In fact, I got all five coins in only one dungeon.

I did a random BfA dungeon and got only 4 coins. It seems like it's one per boss.

This of course means that the only dungeon that will give you all five in one run is Waycrest Manor, and that's a problem because only the first random heroic of the day gives coins.

Estelle Gendry in Orgrimmar didn't offer me this quest, only the one in Undercity.

Apparently broken in Shadowlands Pre-Patch, just did a random dungeon and got 0 coins.

So, as other comments pointed out, this quest seems to be broken since 9.0.
I opened a ticket to Blizzard, here is the answer I got :

Specialist Game Master xxxxxx here, hope the day's treating you well so far. I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us about your recent experience in game! I was able to look into a few things on my end and am happy to go over things a bit more with you.

Currently, the quest is only eligible to be completed in random daily Heroic dungeon of the day for Draenor, Legion, or Battle for Azeroth contents, which you can find more details about here:

The linked article explains the following :

Despite the quest text, which indicates only Heroic Draenor dungeons will grant them, Misprinted Draenic Coins are awarded for completion of the first random daily Heroic dungeon of the day for Draenor, Legion, or Battle for Azeroth dungeons, according to your character's level.

So it seems that you can complete the quest only with a low-level character in Chromie Time ?
I will try to do it with my level 60 main synced with a lower level toon, I'll update this post accordingly if I find anything.
