seems to be bugged at moment. He isn't there for turn in (might have gone on holiday or resigned)

There is a lower level in the Hole. Enterance to lower level is found by taking the right tunnel as you enter the hole. The quest givers to turn in are on the lower level.

Hansel Heavyhands is at the bottom of the cave for the quest turn-in, not outside the cave entrance. The map is confusing.

Like many weapon reward quests, this gives you appearances beyond what is shown. My hunter was offered the bow and polearm as rewards, but on turn-in, also learned both axes (its possible there could have been more but those were the only other appearances I was still missing from the quest.)

Moral of the story: when doing old quests for weapon mogs, use a class that can learn the most weapons 1st - warrior is the best choice as they can learn all but wands and glaives. Hunter is almost as good - they can learn all but wands, glaives, maces, and shields.

Description

These beasts came at us so fast we didn't have time to mount a proper defense. They went right for the metal and chewed through any wall we had.

If we don't kill some of them soon they'll bring the whole fortress down on us.
