For the cave/undeground challenged like myself:

Go into the ruins, go down the stairs, take a left at the bottom of the stairs, go down the tunnel on the left, you'll see a square room on your minimap (that's where they are), take the first right into the next opening (looks like the handle of a cup on the minimap) proceed south until you find a break in the wall to your left, go in and hang a right and there they are.

Located on the floor above where you get the quests. The minimap shows you where you need to be, only towards the end you have to look for a opening in the wall on your left, easily missed on the first try.

This is the Horde post so first you go up the ramp from the portal to get out of the quest area. Note: to get back to this area later see that some vines are hanging at the top of the ramp. Stay to the left and you will note you circle around until you are on the east side of the map in a narrow hall. You will find an area that can be turned from Alliance to Horde. It is right past this that you look for an opening on the left that leads to the bosses.
*If the Shrine area is turned to Horde, then all Horde in the mines can ride their mounts, so it is worth the minute or so to turn it.

I have to shut off all the lights and do these quests completely in the dark because it;s so hard to see in these frickin' caves. Gee, Blizz are you trying to make the cliche true!

Ok, this post is for the directionally challenged. The coordinates for the first turn point once inside the narrower corridor are 84.1, 18.5. This opening is on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the hallway just before the spirit shard.

Once inside the corridor after making the right hand turn, walk straight ahead through and you will come to the either an alliance or Horde signia banner area (84.9, 19.4); walk past that.

Once past that, continue walking to coordinates 84.1, 22 and look to your left. You will see yet another opening in the cave wall, take that and follow it down to the 2 Lieutenants. They do in fact share HP so they are quite easily solo'd.

If you use Carbonite addon, then once you get on the level above the quest giver use ALT+M and this brings the map up beautifully of where you need to turn and when the spirits are.

Ok, I haven't added a comment before but I felt the need to have to tell this because I still could not find it with the other directions. As Horde, once you go up the ramp into the main area, hug the left wall. this will take you to a winding pathway. You will then see a spirit shard in a tiny room to your right, ignore this and keep walking, you will then walk into a pool of water with a spirit shard in it. At this point, stand in the water and rotate your camera clockwise. You will see a hidden path to your right. This path leads you to your glory.

Easily solo'd as an elemental shaman with ilevel 465. I found it easier to attack the melee guy (Meng-do). He'll just follow you around, and when he gets close, he usually starts to hard cast some spells. You can avoid pretty much every single spell that gen-li does by not standing in any of the stuff you see on the ground.

1. Enter cave/ruins.
2. Go down stairs.
3. Go LEFT
4. Pass the1st opening. Keep hugging wall and going left. Go past the rock sticking out of the water in the middle.
4. Take SECOND opening on LEFT. (again, after coming down from stairs)
5. Go past the glowing shard on right in the room.
6. Come to SECOND shard and there is a tunnel to the right of it. Take that tunnel.

My advice for this one is keep moving! Stay out of the stuff on the ground and use instant casts as much as possible and move each time you cast.

As a caster Mage, I found it easier to target Gen-li Gen-li, Twister of Words. I would do just ONE CAST and then run like hell out of the indicator that signaled where Gen-li's next cast shot would land. That would generally get me out of the melee guy's range too. I just made sure that I always only made one cast and then moved out of the caster's and the melee guy's target indicator on the ground. I would even break off my shot to make sure I was NOT standing on their shot indicators when they landed. For Mages, it is very important to keep your Ice Barrier shield up at all times, and to renew it as soon as it drops. You don't want to get caught in an attack without your Ice Barrier absorbing damage here, so pay attention to the shield timer!

Slowly, I wore them down. When one takes damage, they both do. When one dies, they both do. Don't give up. It may seem impossible at first, but take it slowly and decisively, keep your shield up, and you will pull ahead and kill them. Loot both of their corpses for the essences to complete the quest. I imagine this general strategy will work for all caster classes. Good luck!
