This quest freaked me out.. first the really weird thing when your character puts on the blindfold, then the screen goes black for a good 4 seconds.

Consider holding onto this quest if you are a cloth-wearer and can spare the XP. The quest item gives the effect of wearing the Cursed Vision of Sargeras from Black Temple, which cloth-wearers cannot equip. While it only activates in Jadefire Run, it's definitely a unique look your mage, priest, or warlock can't find elsewhere.

I tried getting this quest so i could farm mageweave cloth, but when i went there with my lvl 77 mage it had no quest there and i found the guy that it said gives the quest yet he wouldnt give it to me. all he sais is "leave me be."
What do i do?

Your gonna have to go out of your way if you really want to do this quest line. Before you can even talk to him you have to receive the Demon Hunter quest from Huntress Selura in Whisperwind Grove. Yet before she will even talk to you, you have to complete all the quest for Elessa Starbreeze, Hurak Wildhorn, and Tender Puregrove in Whisperwind Grove. If you do that you should be good to go. I just completed it as a lvl 82 Rogue.

It takes no time at all to do the prerequisites. It is so cool from a lore perspective to see another side of the whole Skull of Gul'dan / Illidan story. >.<

Anyone think of that movie "They Live" when doing this quest? In the movie, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has to put on sunglasses to see 'Decievers' that are trying to take over Earth! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Live

Thank you Felzane! Spot on.

As he/she claims, just do Tender Puregrove's 3 quests: Squirrely Clean, Running Their Course (turn those two in), and lastly Weeding the Lawn. Then talk to Huntress Selura, who will give you: WANTED: The Demon Hunter. This leads you to Feronas Sindweller. He will eventually give you the quest that gives you the blindfold that will allow you to see the Jadefire Shifters.

Your quest Deceivers In Our Midst will only have you killing 12 Jadefire Shifters. When that is finished, (if you are here to farm Mageweave) DO NOT TURN IN THE QUEST! Doing so will summon you back to Feronas, and you will lose the blindfold!

I kept it on after the 12 required kills...and after 40 kills (there are a lot more than 12 Jadefire Shifters there...and they do respawn...slowly) I had 35 Mageweave Cloth. Not every shifter dropped it, but with some dropping 3 cloth, it balanced it out.

In my opinion, this is not an ideal place to farm Mageweave. Though the Shifters do respawn...if you are one-hitting them, it will take awhile for them to come back...and you may get frustrated. Or if you do accidently turn in the quest...

It is good if you need a few pieces of Mageweave to level a profession (in my case, Blacksmithing), but not for leveling a whole profession like Tailoring, as you'd need a LOT to make the bolts required. Running quests and dungeons that are level appropriate for Mageweave may eventually yield more per time spent, especially if you are 85.

To do this quest I actually started in Felwood with the Tauren who was throwing up. The Dryad sent me to Moonspring and after a bit of questing, yes, I was sent to kill the soldier.Then we got the "Watch this" quests and finally I went to Jadefire.

Doing this quest while you are in the apropiate level just requiere to run up the hill and use the item.
But doing this quest if you are max level, maybe for achiv zone, will make you bug and you wont be able to use the item.

Just fly far away from the zone and then come back, go to 43,18 where some red temple ruins are and use it in there.

I was max level when doing this quest, so I had to go south and then up to location 43, 22 before I could use the mask.

Slay 12 Jadefire Shifters in Jadefire Run.

Description

Now that you've had a lesson in keeping an open mind, perhaps you'd like to learn WHY I killed those druids.

The answer is simple: They are not druids at all.

Demons still roam the ruins, now hiding in plain sight in the guise of friendly caretakers. See for yourself...this blindfold is soaked in demon blood. Take it north up the hills to Jadefire Run and place it on your eyes. It will show even the most oblivious fool the true nature of any demon.
