"Commander" Nazrim seems to be a reference to Nazrin from Touhou Project.

Edit: To explain what I am talking about:

Nazrin is a character from Touhou Project, a series of Japanese shmups. She is a mouse youkai and is depicted as a leader of her kind. Her theme song is 小さな小さな賢将, translated as 'A Tiny, Tiny, Clever Commander'.

"Commander" Nazrim is the objective of the quest 'A Tiny, Clever Commander'. The NPC in question is a kobold, which are, as everyone knows, rat-like in appearance. This NPC is also acting as a sort of leader of its kind.

Don't worry. This quest isn't going to draw in anymore meme-spewing "fans" than anything else. The only one's who are going to know this references anything are the one's who already know about Touhou in the first place. So calm down.

This quest is obtainable from Mountaineer Stormpike at Algaz station, Loch Modan. Coordinates 25 17.

Commander Nazrim is found in a cave due south of mountaineer stormpike, the entrance to which is at 25 30.

He is level 13, non elite and has 546 health points.

If you are lucky like me you will find Kubb at the entrance to the cave also.

Return to mountaineer stormpike to hand in the quest once Nazrim is dead.

Mountaineer stormpike will then allow you to progress on to Kobold and Kobolder.

It's a reference many, many years in the making. But at long last, here it is. A fine, clear reference to Touhou in WoW. No long stretches or anything.

Now that there is one, there may be more. An idiotic gnome ice mage? A witch with the power to fire massive lasers? A perpetually poor priestess able to become intangible and use sealing amulets?

The possibilities are infinite, and I will be waiting for them impatiently...

I'm not trying to be crude here, but if this is supposed to be modeled after a "she" character, why in the world is the tooltip on the quest image "Look for the kobold with the longest candle"?

Description

We've dealt with kobolds in these lands for years. Not much other than a nuisance. But they've been getting craftier at their stealing.

I think one of them's ended up smarter than usual. Won't be that way for long, though!

I want you to go to the camp south of here and make sure there's not a "big shot" kobold stirrin' up the other ones. Make sure to check the cave; it's a likely spot.

And don't be shy about clearing out the other kobolds along the way.
