This is a very easy quest to complete and is fun as well. I recommend getting the bombing portion done first and then taking care of the Gargoyles after. Just make sure to keep your shield up and put out any fires asap so you're not knocked out of your plane.

For some reason this quest is horribly bugged. Very often you will lose the infra-green vision in midflight. This causes you to no longer see the gargoyles (they still attack you) and be stuck in whatever position on the plane you were in at that time.
You'll have to wait until your plane is shot down und you are picked up and brought back to try again. Even if you finish the flight with the bomber in-tact somehow you're still thrown out at the end and flown around by the rescue-plane.

This quest is easy to complete and a lot of fun, but a lot of people will skip it because it doesn't reward any kind of rep after turning it in for the first time. Which is a shame, really.

The plane drives itself (think of it as a turret on rails) so you're free to just keep firing without worrying about steering. As most people have said, the plane switched between three modes - Air to Ground (Bombs), Air to Air (Missiles), and Engineering (Allows putting out fire and recharging of shields.)

The easiest way I've found is to open with bombing. Keep dropping bombs until there are too many gargoyles on your tail (when your plane is on fire, that's a good sign) then switch to missiles and clear the sky. Missiles are on a fairly short cooldown and you dont have to really steer the ship, so feel free to pound away on the button launching barrage after barrage to clear the sky, then switch over to engineering to put out the fire, then recharge the shields while you're in that mode. (Each recharge adds 30 up to 100.) Then, flip back to bombing until complete.

Once you're done bombing, stay on missiles - shoot down your last few gargoyles, and you're home free. Additionally, if you come across any planes of the opposing faction (which happens about once or twice a flight) feel free to blow em out of the sky by raining down missiles upon them. You'll get a "Confirmed Kill" buff if successful, although I have yet to find a use for it apart from cosmetic purposes.

Watch for enemy faction planes! You can shoot them down to get Confirmed Kills. And they can shoot back.

Keep those shields up!

When you're dropping bombs, make sure you don't switch out to one of the other modes (i.e, to the turret or repair) before the bombs actually land and detonate. If you do, you won't get any kill credits.

Also, for those of you who play on PvE ruleset servers, you can attack Horde planes even if neither you nor they are flagged for PvP. Firing on them will not flag you, either. If you do shoot them down, you won't earn any Honor for it, as you're just destroying their plane. A rescue ship will arrive to save them just as if they'd been shot down by the gargoyles. If you do get attacked and don't want to fight, put out any flames, and just spam your shield refresh. No matter how much they fire on you, they won't be able to shoot you down or really even dent your plane's health. Eventually they'll be carried out of range and you'll be able to continue with your quest.

Does anyone know where the captains chill out? That's always the hardest part for me I can never seem to find enough captains.

The captains are the Abominations roaming around with the infantry. Kinda hard to miss them.

You don't have to wait for the whole flight to finish, once you've blown up your quota; let the bomber be shot down, you get grabbed by the rescue plane and flown directly back to the hub, and can turn it in as successful with no penalty.

Edit: Looks like they're adding an 'eject' button to the bomber, upon which a rescue plane will fly you back to the platform. So, basically the same as letting yourself be shot down, but faster. (Info from mmo-champion's list of 3.3.0 patch notes)

Does anyone know if these two Kibli Dailies are gone? I'm over level 80 now, but I still like to do them sometimes--they're fun : )

Anyway, all the other dailies in the area are still there.
