Conquest Pit quest chain:

Similar to the Ring of Blood event, each quest works like an escort, when someone in your party starts the quest all party members nearby will have to accept the quest. For the first four quests, you should ideally have the designated tank start the quest since the starter will get initial aggro. If your tank doesn't have the quest he can still easily pull aggro right at the start and continue the fight from there.

Hellcleave has a Whirlwind ability. He will also Charge players and pets outside of melee range which seems to drop the threat of his current target and in turn the charged player gets aggro. Stay close to him for the fight and only move out when he Whirlwinds.

A tank is pretty much a must. We hardly did it (on 3rd, 4th try) with a retri paladin, a mage and me as a resto druid

I did Delivery to Krenna - starting with Gray Worg Hides - before I gained acces to the pit-quests - but it was the last quests I had left in the camp. So it needs confirmation

Healers beware - he has a Mortal Strike effect. Me and another druid, both balance, duo'd the fights leading up to this one rather easily with me healing and him nuking, but this one was way harsher due to him hitting like a truck, and frequently using said Mortal Strike. It's doable, but unless you feel especially macho, I'd at least try to 3-man it unless you have a class extremely capable of soloing un-ccable elites.

Barely solo'd with my Death Knight at lvl 78, spec'd Unholy. Was in Frost Presence and used my tanking gear - 543 defense so I was uncritable. Still burned one pot, used a healing trinket and my Herbalism HoT. He killed me at 2% health and fortunately I was able to finish him off as a ghoul since my pet took aggro.

At one point in the fight he charged my ghoul, I recommend using that time to bandage. Soloing this entire quest line is doable if you have the gear for it. I was in mostly Tempered Saronite plate, and quest / dungeon blues.

For those of you who don't know, "Defenestration" is the act of throwing something (or someone) out of a window.

Defenestration is the act of throwing someone or something out of a window. The term was coined around the time of an incident in Prague Castle in the year of 1618. The word comes from the Latin de (from; out of) and fenestra (window or opening).

I took him down to about 40% alone, and then he for some reason healed to full health. After this I gave up.

We had that happen to yesterday! We were doing well when all of a sudden he regained full health and we all just wiped.We were all like, what happened there! It was like it was bugged or something, very strange crazy fight. After that, we recruited a fourth person and managed to dps the whole fight. Very weird.

Soloed as a fury warrior, tauren, with full t9 and mostly ilvl 245 gear. Used Enraged Regen, and because I ran out of potions the fight beforehand, had a sick feeling I was going to die. Miraculously came out on top with 0.5% of my hp left.

Long story short, would NOT suggest soloing this guy unless you are either A) heavily geared or B) a tank that has heals and a buttload of avoidance.

solo'd as 76 death knight blood tank, quite easy

20k armor
19% dodge
15% parry

keep diseases up, spam death/heart strike and use cooldowns as soon as they are up, kite him around and he will hit you less, at least that was my experience. was def capped, so that might've helped alot

This guy was tough to solo as a Demonlogy Warlock. He frequently wipes aggro with Intimidating Roar and Intercept. To avoid the latter, position yourself behind him and you won't risk him using Intercept. When he uses Whirlwind, back out for the duration and return after he's done casting.

His Sunder Armor ability will cause him to deal a lot of damage to your Felguard, so you will have to channel Health Funnel a lot. Keep damage over time effects active on him.

The problem is his fear. If he gets a full fear off on you, he may kill your pet before you get the chance to heal it. As Undead, I was able to WotF in the crucial moments, but using a PvP trinket of sorts is strongly recommended. If you've got Metamorphosis, save it for when he manages to Fear your pet and attack you.

Solo this guy with a protection Pally 76 , gear level 147 (6 blues) all quest reward items. I died 5 times. after i realize that i should use Guarded by the light more often, this means, use word of glory when my Health is full.Use all my Cds at least once. in the end i guess that my vengeance pops 1300 more AP. This was the hardest fight in the Pit, the next one is the easiest of all.

As a level 77 Feral Druid in dungeon and quest blues/greens I was unable to solo this guy. His Brutal Strike hit's very hard, especially after he applies five stacks of Sunder Armor. You can't stun or snare him.

The problem with a Bear trying to solo this is that you have to drop out of the form to heal yourself and you end up dead before you get back into form; Frenzied Regeneration seems pretty useless solo, it simply doesn't heal enough.

I tried to apply HoTs on myself after moving out of Whirlwind range but he then Intercepts me which meant instant death!

Soloed this as a 74 Enhance shammy in 90% 70 pvp epics, fully enchanted and epic gemmed. I did the same thing with the previous three, dropped totems, popped wolves blood fury and my braxley's backyard moonshine, then I added a bloodlust for good measure. With wolves taunt I was able to get some decent damage done without having to heal, got him to about 60k hp before wolves faded. Then I just kept mashing his face and using Greater Healing Wave every time I had full maelstrom. Nearly died towards the end when he stunned me, but I got out in time and finished him off. Most definitely the hardest quest in the line, but not impossible to solo.

Managed to solo him with a 76 protection pally with 70 epics.
This guy is a killing machine . If it wasnt for WoG and Lay on Hands i wouldnt have standed 10 seconds . I admit i had a bit of luck he didnt charge too much .
In the end he almost killed me but i used like a 1 holy charge WoG and then another and managed to flash heal myself fast.
He is a real pain in the ass and i recommend a group for him .

I got this guy to about 1/3 health before I went oom as a lv 73 holy paladin. This is the only character in the arena quest I cannot solo he hits far to hard.

I was also unable to solo this on my level 75 ret paladin. This is after soloing -everything- prior to this quest in Borean Tundra and Dragonblight, including Abbendis, Sarathstra, and all the other bastard group quest targets. Unlike all of them, this guy is just impossible for me to out-attrition, he does too much damage far too fast. It made me incredibly sad...

I managed to do this as a level 76 disc priest and I must say that it was the hardest thing ive ever solod in this game.

First of all, you want to kite him around the edge but inside where the spikes are. This causes him to occasionally run to the center which will give you some breathing room. Plus while you're moving he attacks you much less.

Next you'll want to keep jumping. Just like with warrior charges, if you jump when he charges you you'll end up away from him while you are stunned and he wont hit you.

Most of all you'll have to manage your mana. I had to completely avoid using flash heal unless I had inner focus because it is just way too much mana to use. I had to use my JC trinket, shadowfiend, and Hymn of Hope to last. It is all about using penance, prayer of mending, and power word: shield pretty much the instant they came off cooldown.

This guy hits really hard and it will probably take you many tries to solo him.

Managed to solo first try as a 74 feral druid talented as a tank, not dps, wearing full brutal gear and the Staff of the Sorrowful Cheftian from Wanted: Ragemane's Flipper in zuldrak.

In light of the comments about him hitting hard I didn't start in cat like I normally do (to get a 5combo rip up), just started in Bear and barkskinned as I pulled. Basically just tanked him as normal, keeping the pulverize buff up and whenever he whirlwinded I got 3 stacks of lifebloom up and then went back into bear and carried on. Popped survival instincts and frenzied regeneration seperately during the fight. Almost died during one of my lifebloom stacking phases but by spamming jump I avoided getting intercepted which I think was how I lived.

2157 attack power (Had a random BoM from a BG I just did).
33.5% crit
65.36% reduction from armor
33.9% dodge
Thick Hide and Natural Reaction maxed out.

Wasn't anything like as hard as I had been made to believe from the comments, but that could be cata druid buffs compared to wotlk

Soloed this guy as a lvl 77 Enh Shammy who frequents Dungeons.
I died the first time.
Second time I popped EVERYTHING. Every trinket, Bloodlust, Blood Fury, Lifeblood, Feral Spirit and both Elementals!

I barely made it, seriously. I came so close to death multiple times, instant heals form the Maelstrom stack was my saving grace, when I was feared I quickly dropped the totem that breaks, but I lost my Earth Elemental at this point. He killed me with extremely little HP left, luckily just before my fire Elemental disappeared, casted one more spell and he died. I hadn't released my spirit yet so got the credit for the kill!

Soloed as a lvl 75 resto Shaman with full Brutal pvp gear (the lvl 70 set). Used Earth Elemental and healed him while keeping searing totem up and flame shock on Horgrenn. He'll constantly drop aggro and attack you instead so keep earth shield and riptide up on yourself at all times. After Earth Elemental is expired summon Fire Elemental and hope he doesn't kill it while you're stunned as he did to mine.

I had to solo him down from 55% using the searing totem and flame shocks plus the occasional lightning bolt. Took 8 minutes in total but he went down with me having about 20% mana remaining.
