Scryer starting quest for the Isle of Quel'Danas-quests and a questline leading up to killing Kael'Thas (yes! again!) in the new 5-man instance, The Magister's Terrace.

Upon completion you will receive a Mount Hyjal/BT quality socket gem and be allowed access into the heroic version of the dungeon.

It may not be clear to everyone; the "Sunwell Plateau" is basically the starting area on the Isle of Quel'Danas. Get there through the portal in the center area of Shattrath, or you can take the flight path that starts from outside Silvermoon City.

For those of us who don't make a habit of reading quest text, I just wanted to draw your attention to the Completion text.

"Welcome to Sunwell Plateau, cryer - What's that? Oh, Scryer, yes of course. Isn't that what I said?"

My hunter is level 73 but this guy won't let me pick the quest up...Are there like any pre-req quests I have to do or something?

I can't pick up this quest, even tho im lvl 80 and exhalted with the scryers.

anybody know why? nobody inside MGT would talk to me either :S

As of Patch 4.2.0(28/06/11), players will no longer need to do this pre-quest to be able to get into the Heroic version of Magisters' Terrace.

As for patch 4.3.0, to complete this quest, you'll have to report to "Captain Theris Dawnhearth" instead of Exarch Larethor. But the description of this quest has not modify yet.
Captain Theris Dawnhearth then offer you another quest "Magisters' Terrace", which would lead you to find Exarch Larethor. He is now in Magisters' Terrace, a 5-man dungeon's entrance.

You can actually complete both this quest and Crisis at the Sunwell if you want to.

Here's what you need:
1) You must not already be committed to either The Aldor or The Scryers.
2) Avoid completing or picking up Magisters' Terrace.
3) Talk to Archmage Khadgar and click to accept each quest, Allegiance to the Aldor and Allegiance to the Scryers, as if you are going to complete them, but back out before doing so. Something about doing this seems to activate your eligibility for the quest from each faction.
4) Accept one of the quests from either Adyen the Lightwarden or Dathris Sunstriker and complete it by talking to Exarch Larethor on Isle of Quel'Danas. (Do not pick up Magisters' Terrace!)
5) Return to the other questgiver and accept and complete the second quest.

I'm not sure what you gain additionally other than a small amount of experience and an extra bit of rep with Shattered Sun Offensive, but there you go.

Duty requires that you return to Azeroth. Every able person is to report to the Sunwell Plateau immediately.

I'm afraid I have no more information to share, except this:

You'll be joining forces with the Aldor for this mission. Speak with a draenei by the name of Larethor when you arrive.

Apparently, the situation calls for us to set our differences aside and join forces.

Prepare yourself, friend. This sounds serious.
