Reads:
In the tangle your eyes may deceive you. That which seems close is hidden behind a veil of mist.

Try as you might the outcome will be the same. Those who dare venture alone oft' become lost to time itself.

Hope only lies in awareness. The tangle hides many secrets only for the most acute.

Let the light guide your way. Passage through the veil has already begin.

Begins the Shimmermist Runner mount quest

Note is located pinned to a tree at 32.54 53.05 next to a blue lamp.
It gives hints to entering and running the maze.

Enter the maze directly opposite the tree.
You will see blue coloured lamps at the correct entrance like that which is next to the note.
Simply follow them to the final area.

The order is:
Enter the Maze at Oaken Assembly (31.04, 54.51).
On the 1st intersection at (29.60, 55.76) Left
On the 2nd intersection at (30.02, 57.49) Right
On the 3rd intersection at (29.56, 57.91) Left
On the 4th intersection at (29.31, 59.10) Right
On the 5th intersection at (28.82, 58.71) Straight
On the 6th intersection at (27.56, 57.85) Left
You will then see Shizgher and the mount standing together in the clearing.

If you enter the area and they despawn then you have taken a wrong turn.

The maze is home to elites who will agro you. As a hunter I just mounted up ands ran through, I feigned death when I was knocked off and then used Aspect of the Cheetah to get to the end, 1st try no problems.
You can also use the fairy dust which allows you to double jump and fly for 1.5 minutes to get you through the maze.

The fight itself is pretty easy and anyone should be able to do this solo.

Not sure if it's just me but when I use Paste to throw all the coordinates into TomTom they're always backwards, so here they are in reverse order so it shows up right for people:

I used a Comfortable Rider's Barding to not get dazed, ran through everything and shadowmelded at Shizgher.

Zone: Ardenweald - Mistveil Tangle
Coordinates: 32.5 51.9 - Start Point

To get the Mount Shimmermist Runner you have to go through the maze-like Mistveil Tangle west of Root-home. It's best to exit Root-home north, directly past the flight master.
Follow the path and then turn left. From far away you can already see the passage from where you can start.
On the left after the passage is a note on the tree, the Tale of the Tangle. After you have read it you can start. Turn around and go through the passage directly opposite.
It is important to walk the right way now. There are 1-2 lamps at each passage, they have to glow blue, not red.
After the first passage, follow the path to the left, then to the right, then left again, then to the right, then straight ahead (the right of the two passages) and then through the left passage you see.
Now you have to defeat Shizgher. After that you can click Shimmermist Runner and you will get Shimmermist Runner.

Make a Macro - /macro - and enter the /way's below. Save it, and drag the button to an unused slot.
Now, enter theseTomTom Coordinates (Which are Backwards) so they show up 1st to Last instead of Last to 1st.
Voila! Mount!

Get HandyNotes: Shadowlands, the route will be marked in the minimap.

You can do this very easy with flying mount, just stay low to the ground and follow path, then kill epic, win.

TKS Doncoyote ... just get HandyNotes:Shadowlands, select objective for a path on the minimap

Easy if your class has a pet ... for my Lock it was DOTs, heal Voidwalker and repeat.

Flytrap died while fighting alongside me in Ardenweald. Later when I got back to Maldraxxus, I found her back in her spot in Bleak Redoubt, where I had the option to recruit her again if I wanted to. So if you take her, you can only keep her as long as she lives; after that she resets back home, you can't resurrect her or call her back while you're still out questing.
