Sapphire Firefly is a rare spawn in Spires of Arak with many spawn points but only appears once at a time similar to the Unborn Val'kyr of Northrend.

From what Ive been hearing from other collectors is this pet and the Talador equivalent can replace any pet in the zone. Always only one of them up at a time though.

I found the initial co-ords for Crimsonwing moth helpful so hopefully this will assist someone: Found one at 45, 34 Spires of Arak, near the Goretusk pigs

Found mine just now at Coords: 55.53, 32.21

Spawn is just about straight west and a very teeny bit south from Crow's Crook and across the road. The spawn point is located not far from the Toxicfang Venom treasure. If you turn south, you can see a bunch of dead Shattered Hand orcs around a contraption of wood and chains and spikes.

Best tip I can give: Find a spot and server hop. There is no reason to go running to each spawn point looking for it when we have the group finder tool. I found the Crimsonwing and Sapphire Firefly this way.Took several hops but I didn't have to run around looking for them.

ran around the zone for maybe 15 min. found mine at 59, 68.6 logged out to eat dinner. when i came back in the game another was standing in same spot.

Found a Poor P/B in a Goretusk field north/northwest of Axefall, around 37.97, 42.21 (a pig pushed me). It's across the road from the Writhing Mire.

There can only be one of these up at a time but there will always be one up.

Something odd that I noticed while waiting for this guy was that while he did spawn at 45.6, 62.0, he spawned as a critter and not a battle pet. Meaning, I couldn't actually enter battle and catch it.

Are you kidding me that this is rare? I found it right next to the first I looked for. Something almost similar happened in talador.

This is probably rigged to spawn easier next to an active player, even if it were unique.

Ok, big "wtf" moment for me.

In the Dalaran (New Broken Isles Dalaran) Sewers, there is a merchant you can buy pets from. You can also pay her to spawn 4 turtles that you can battle and capture.

These turtles were spawned by another player, I engaged combat with one, and boom, a RARE Sapphire Firefly spawned as a backline pet.... (Screenshot uploaded as proof.)

In my incredible stupidity I rushed to capture the turtle because I didn't have a bodyguard and my char was level 106.

Can't believe I passed up the chance.

Not sure if this was extremely rare and intentional, or just a coding error.

I am surprised that there does not seem to be any achievement associated with catching these rare pets. I got Draenor Safari without it.

Found one at approx. 46, 63.

Soloed with Hyjal Wisp Rare Ninja. Abilities: Arcane Blast, Sear Magic and Wish.

Pretty straightforward, Arcane Blast until you need to clear a buff with Sear Magic, then back to Arcane Blast until at about half health. Wish to heal, then rinse & repeat.

Got mine at 45.1, 35.2. However, this was the second location I saw it at. The first location, at 36.8, 41.7 kept phasing out so I was unable to capture it there. I was however able to kill it thanks to a quick mount dive and chimera shot, which in turn got it to spawn somewhere else.

The second time it spawned, it was just a critter and not a captureable battle pet, so I had to kill it again, which in turn spawned into a proper battle pet. Really odd.

Anyways, very easy to find with the /tar get Sapphire Firefly macro and the list of waypoints below.
