They hit for about 3k on plate, very tough to solo. I'd suggest actually finding a group for this one, boys and girls, as it isn't the cakewalk that the preceding quests were.

Find a group if you can, but they CAN be solo'd. I managed it as a holy paladin. I used Devotion aura and Seal of righteousness.

Basic tactic is just nuke/heal/nuke/heal while keeping Sacred shield up at all times and keep your self above 50% atleast, since they can crit for 5k+ on plate. I immediately removed their disease and I recommend you do the same.

They apply a debuff like Gluth, (healing reduced by 10%, stackable) and you can't even bubble to get rid of the debuffs. They even keep applying stacks while you're in a bubble, which kinda sucks. This makes it really hard to heal through their 2-2,5k hits. What you need to do is time your HoJ so that the debuffs will go off.

Remember Holy wrath. It stuns them for 3 seconds which can save your life. If mana is an issue switch to Seal of Wisdom.

Fearable, which makes them very easy to solo as a paladin. Just Turn Evil, DPS some, HoJ if needed. If you run out of mana, just judge and nothing else except reapply fear (Ret Perspective)

They are indeed soloable, at least as a Protection warrior as long as you have enough defense to be crit immune. Be prepared though, if they get some lucky hits in, you'll end up having to blow your CDs in order to survive. I would recommend bringing a friend with, so you don't have to wait 5 minutes between kills.

Fearable, freezable, stunnable, not horribly fast. These things are bait for kiting to death. I found, as a hunter, one of the best ways to do it was to kite one around and around the pillars on the lower level, using Concussive shot to keep their distance while you plug away, and Wing Clip if they manage to get too close. Takes a while, but it's fun if you enjoy kiting. And if things get too hot, you can just Freeze Trap them, bandage up, and be prepared for the next bout.

Easily solo'd by any priest. Shackle, mind blast, back up a few feet. Rinse and repeat.

Agree with Kurasu hunters can kite this to death. Great practice for those who don't know how to kite properly.

As a DPS focused Feral Druid with poor tanking gear (21.5k hp in Bear Form), I actually had no problem soloing those. As always, Enrage when I enter Bear Form (so that I'll still have the 10 from Furor) and pull with Faerie Fire. Keep Lacerate fully stacked and Demoralizing Roar always up, Faerie Fire when not on cooldown (may be useful to spend your GCD when Mangle's not up :p), Mangle whenever possible, trinket/Barkskin/Frenzied Regeneration when possible/necessary and you should be fine.

Easily soloed as destro lock in decent gear. Engineer helps.

Using the Aftermath daze, Shadowfury, Rocket Boots, and Demonic Circle, I was able to stay ahead of him the entire time while slinging Chaos Bolts and Incins every chance I got. And if you lose your distance just toss up the VW shield and wait for either Shadowfury or Conflag to come back up. The shield allows for a little margin of error, but a not lot. This dude hits like two Mack trucks.

Easy solo as a Disc Priest in average gear. 15khp/mana 1500 SP with inner fire.

What I did was go max cast range and pop PW:S, then cast holy fire, then immediately cast penance (at the mob) and after 3rd shot was off start backing up and hit SW:Death, at 1 sec left on holy fire dot i'd start casting shackle.

Mob would get 1-2 hits off on me, breaking my PW:S most of the time.

Rinse and repeat, his life was dropping faster then my mana pool.

Solo'd as an Elemental Shaman. They are kitable so just drop Earthbind totem or Frost Shock 'em to death.

Easy enough solo as a frost mage, but you'll likely have to blow all your cooldowns on each pull, making completing the quest take close to an hour.

The way I went after these was: From about 50 yards away, send in pet to pull. Once the overgrown dog is in range, start spamming Frostbolt. Once you start getting aggro, pop Mirror Image. He'll be distracted by them long enough for you to burn him down, but he may hit you at times, so keep up Ice Barrier at all times. When he's below 50% and you get a FoF proc, or when he gets into melee range, Deep Freeze him. The same technique works on those overgrown liches.

I was lucky enough to stumble across a boomkin doing the same quest while I was soloing these guys, and it ran a lot faster.

<-- Prot Pally. I tried solo'ing this before I was def. capped and when I had 28k health.. didn't work out like I planned. Came back today with capped def. and 34k health, and he couldn't do enough damage to even overcome judgement of light (with seal of vengeance). Didn't have to use any cooldowns or anything, just sit there, keep your holy shield up, and whack away.

Solod on a blood death knight, these things are tough though.

Easily taken down with army of the dead but if that's on cool down just use frost presence, spam death strike, icebound fortitude, death pact etc. Definitely do-able solo.

Easy solo for a feral druid. Put some points in cat form if you want, go bear, and use Nature's Grasp to heal (make sure Lacerate is NOT on him when you use Nature's Grasp/Entangling Roots, because if it is it'll just break the bind). They're rootable, stunnable, CCable, etc., so healing is easy.

Was able to solo as an 80 ret pally, but not without a lot of swearing and cursing. I was in half t9, half lvl 200 crap gear, but it was all damage gear. The strategy that produced the least banging on my keyboard, swearing, and throwing things was as follows:

1. Seal of Light, Blessing of Kings, Devotion Aura.
2. Judge light on him, spam damage spells and Flash of Light off of Art of War procs whenever you are not at full health. Cleanse the disease he gives you.
These things hit hard and fast, and they put a MS-like debuff on you that cuts healing by 20%, which is timed, but it seems like it gets refreshed by the thing's melee, and is pretty much always up. Divine Shield does not remove it.
3. Therefore the first time you are dropped below full health and Art of War is not up, Holy Wrath to stun. He hits hard enough that you can't really spare a split second, so while the GCD is going, use that ~1.5s to back up, and drop a couple FoLs on yourself. I wouldn't recommend HL, because he hits hard and fast enough that he can negate the heal due to pushback and the debuff.
4. Repeat 2 and 3, except this time use Hammer of Justice, and this time you can probably get off a HL, or at least several FoLs. At this point, I had him at about 65-70%.
5. Keep going until you are at about 35-40% pop Divine Shield, or Divine Protection at about 50%. Lay on Hands didn't seem to work all that well here, I'm not sure why.
6. Heal up and repeat, until you get Health Low warning. The mob should be at or below 50%.
7. Here is the fun part. Repentance, heal up. My mana was usually low by this point, and you need all of it to heal. So pop Divine Plea, and DO NOT START DPS again. Wait until the end of Repentance, pop Avenging Wrath, and then Hammer of Justice and Holy Wrath will be up, for you start the whole thing over again, except no Divine Shield/Protection this time. But the fight is pretty much reset, and you can usually just DPS him down, and keep your health up with Art of War FoL procs.

Win.

VERY easy to solo as a hunter. If you don't want your pet to die, just set him on passive, concussive, wing clip when close and he's down really fast.

Undead Hunters can tame this beast.

All other hunters have to get Simple Tome of Bone-Binding which can be obtained by killing elites in Maldraxxus and its associated dungeons: Plaguefall and the Theater of Pain.

Word of warning though. Most of the elites in Maldraxxus will be level 60.
