Ve'nari may be a reference to Lord Vetinari from Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. Vetinari is the ruler of the city of Ankh-Morpork. In young age he joined Assassins' Guild, where he got an excellent academic education. Assasins often work in secret, so name of Ve'nari faction - Purveyor of Cyphers - may be reference to this.

It appears that the torghast upgrades are account bound as i can't see the torghast upgrades i brought on my main(Vessel of Unfortunate Spirits and Bangle of Seniority) on ve'nari on my main alt today.

A: None of the others survived. Only me.

The Maw, as you are well aware, is a dangerous place. And while traveling in a large group may provide the illusion of security, in reality it just makes you a more tempting target.

We learned that the hard way. Our numbers were whittled away until there were few enough of us left to hide ourselves. That slowed the hunt.. but did not stop it.

When I alone remained, I accepted the truth of my situation. Solitude offered the best chance of survival.

At least until you arrived.

Reputation Grinding with Ve'Nari:

Weekly quests are not as important, like doing the jailer event. Save that for after all of these other priorities are done on a given day, and then if you have the capacity, go for it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While doing this, don't kill ANYTHING you don't have to. If you can escape, run away, go invisible, polymorph / hex... cc away. The more things you kill, the higher your jailer tier will go. You want to avoid this going up too fast too soon. Get this stuff done first. Killing regular monsters (non rares) or monsters unassociated with quests is going to hold back your rep gains.
Get the daily quests and do them first.
Next make sure you do any progression quests.
If you haven't done the weekly quests, now do them.
Now it's time to check in with Ve'nari. Look at your stygia, and your rep. If you are sitting on a huge pile of stygia, don't do that. Stygia is fairly easy to get compared to reputation. Reputation is your most
important currency right now. If you have a few hundred, ok fine save it and move on to the next priority. But if you have over 800 or so, spend it if you aren't confident you will survive the next step.
Next is rare farming. One of the best ways to do this is to look in the group finder. However, when you do this, be in Oribos. If you join a raid group for instance while in the Maw, you may be phased out of that group.
Trust me. You don't want to run all the way to the Tremeculum, only to find you are phased differently than your group. So join a group while in oribos, and THEN go to the maw and join up with them.
Rare farm as much as you can.
So while you are rare farming, you will get closer and closer to that ever so lovely maxed out jailer tier. When you get there, you will start stacking a debuff that makes it impossible for you to heal at all. This is NOT game over. But it IS the critical time at which you should decide whether reputation, or stygia is more important to you. If you die at this point, unless you are with a group that is watching your back... you will probably permanently lose that 20% stygia.

A note on rare farming:

Again: Don't arbitrarily kill things. Run away. Focus on rares. Rares are the little skulls you see on your minimap.
The best thing you can do to maximize your efforts and rewards is to be in a group with people who communicate well and don't leave you behind. You may need to settle for a large raid group, but try to get people on discord, or go with friends.
Optimally, you would make 1-3 groups of 5 people, and communicate on discord so that the individual groups can all do the quests, but all still face roll their way through the entire zone smashing rares into pudding on the ground with minimal effort.
There are a number of stars on the map. Look for those. These are summonable encounters, and provide 100 rep for these kills. These make the jailer angry though.
Once you've gotten close enough to maximum jailer hate, make a decision about your stygia stores. If you are rollin in stygia, but close to capping a rep level... maybe call it a day. If you are rolling in it but you have 3 more days of rep to grind... spend it, or just don't worry about it. If you approach your farming like this, you will see that getting stygia is a cake walk.
Not to beat a dead horse (no horses were harmed in the making of this post) but don't focus on stygia. Focus on reputation. Reputation is the only thing that will allow you to open up the items you need in order to actually spend stygia. Prioritize Rep. Prioritize Rep. Prioritize Rep.

So I think Ve'nari's the Nathanos Blightcaller of Shadowlands. She's the smirking smartass who puts players in their place, who is in fact more important that you and will always be more important than you and who's help is 100% necessary to rescuing your "friends" so bend the &*!@ing knee and know your role, Maw Walker. She's the Mary-Sue dropped in our path because somebody had a great idea about creatively writing an minor character that bloated into the "must appease" faction of this phase of SL.

I /spit on Ve'nari. Can't wait to be done with her.

Ve'nari’s “reputations” (aka judgement, worthiness, or trust) have different names than normal faction reputations.
There are 6 stages, with increasing amounts of reputation required to progress to the next stage:

Patch 9.0.5 added Broker Traversal Enhancer to the list of permanent (account-wide) Torghast upgrades for a cost of 875 Stygia and requiring a Tentative reputation.

The NPC reminds me of Stratos, a god of air from video game Sacrifice, especially when she's shaking her "floating" head. And the "stygia" we collect is a name for Charnel's (god of death) realm in Sacrifice as well.

The Ve'nari with this NPC ID may now appear to some players as translucent and magenta in color. Her dialog indicates that, with the Jailer's defeat, she feels it is finally worth the risk of Cartel Ve's notice to venture to Zereth Mortis.

In Zereth Mortis, players may find:

a charred broker corpse at the Creation Catalyst marked as belonging to Ve'nari. Players wearing Engineering goggles will receive additional text indicating that there are "inconsistencies" with what is, at first glance, a horrible accident.

Players may receive mail from Ve'nari with a parting gift, explaining her current whereabouts.

It may be worth noting that while mounted on the Ensorcelled Everwyrm, the Guiding Orb on the mount's back, which summons Xolartios, disappears when close to Ve'nari in her refuge in the Maw. I was wondering if there was anyway to get the NPCs to interact...

I have been curious about Ve'nari since we met her and recent developments with her character have me more curious! I hope this means we'll see her around Azeroth and maybe in the Caverns of Time :D
