Pet: Bloodseeker
Location found: Rarely found within pools of water, across the zone. I found mine at 69.94. 43.41.
Difficulty to find: Rare
Can be found as secondary: No
Notes: Only found in pools of water / rivers. This seems to be the 'rare' counterpart of the Deeptide Fingerling. If you are having issues finding this pet, start to annihilate every Deeptide Fingerling you see, and one will likely respawn in its place.

Two of the pets needed for Nazjatari Safari have 'rare' counterparts. These rarely spawn in place of the normal equivalent of the pets. If you can't find one, start killing the 'common' equivalent of the pet, and one will show up eventually.

A target macro for the two 'rare' equivalent pets:

/tar Bloodseeker
/tar Sandclaw Sunshell

Got one at 69, 39 in the river. I battled two Deeptide Fingerlings in that area before the Bloodseeker showed up.

When you battle the Deeptide Fingerling, you only have to kill him and then forfeit the match and he'll disappear.

After running around for this for way to long for me to admit I finally managed to find one. Then I found another within an hour.
First one I caught around 46, 72.
The other I found in the shallow end of the lake at 58, 40.

Appears these could spawn in place for Deeptide Fingerling, and Deeptide Fingerling is unable to be killed by regular combat (outside of pet battle) to avoid clearing them for a rare Bloodseeker respawn. Fun times..

I'd advise that if possible you pursue this one quickly and probably at night, before others start going for them. I'd been dreading this but did it at 2am server time and found two in two minutes. Both of them rare quality. tried giving it away but couldn't, so I took that to mean all the enthusiasts have them while those who don't care much haven't bothered yet. 3-4 days in to a patch is a great time to go after these rarer pets.

Found one of these guys in the middle of a 3 tiered waterfall and couldn't catch it because there was nowhere to stand that wasn't 'obstructed' TT

Update: I just went back and found it again still untouched so tried again for a good 5 minutes to get it in a spot to battle, FINALLY did it, then accidentally killed it in 2 attacks when I was trying to weaken it... Honey Bees are too powerful it seems, I wanna cry.

Woot thanks for the tips on how to nab this one.

I got my Bloodseeker at /way 70.0 42.0 or thereabouts and he was a lovely shade of Blue :)

Was the last little guy I needed to complete the Nazjatari Safari Achievement.

Now off to Mechagon for the next part.

Found mine at 70 41.7 checking the shallow waters. After I cleared area as it was first one I saw was worried couldn’t tame as I kept getting battle area obscured and it was in deeper water. Moving around on shore I was able to battle standing to the right of the starfish. I was very happy to see it was rare as others reported this was hard to get that rarity.

I found mine at the Ashen Strand, /way 30.8, 35.8. There are three spawn points there, no hostile npcs and server hopping found me my Bloodseeker within five minutes.

Found at 47,52. I missed the crate drop for the zone (was hanging out in WM), but this lil guy was right next to it! Asked around in chat but no one was farming it so he's going home with me now =)

Accidentally killed TWO in a different location before I finally caught one at 40, 14. I made sure to use something weak against it as to not accidentally kill it. In my case, I used an Unborn Valkyr and then just finished off the other 2 pets in the battle with an Ikky.

I have found 2 so far. Both have been rare (and P/P) maybe they are always rare when you find them.

Kay, this one is a bit hard to get. It seems that only one can be up at any time, so get ready for some flying. I scouted the entire zone several times without spotting one, so I decided to take down some Deeptide Fingerlings, since they appear in same area, and since they are like Bloodseeker. After a while it appeared at 30.35, and I got it easily.
My guess is that you will always get a Blue/Rare one...but I'm not going to spend more time looking for another just to see if it's green ;-)
GL on getting it and it will probably be one of the last ones you need for the Naz Safari achi.

Came here to see why I had never caught this one before only to find out that you are supposed to kill other critters to get one to spawn, but I only killed a few hydras in the area where I found one and didn't kill anything else. He was sitting all alone in a small pool of water at 28.75, 39.95 with an elite hydra pathing right on top of him. Very strange.

Bloodseekers can be found as main pets in the battle pet group (not as an additional) so just fly around and look at names. Don't need to fight fingerlings ect in the hopes that it will show up as an additional.

I found mine at /way 45.30 54.71 surrounded by three Volatile Tide Surgers. I set my character down near the waterfall and non-AoE aggro'd these mobs. I put my character near the edge of the waterfall and the game automatically shifts the character's position always to the edge of the waterfall but never off the edge. It was here I battled the three trash mobs. After that I started the pet battle and won a blue P/P variety. (When I came out of the battle I had to battle the three trash mobs again because I had to AFK during the pet battle.)

I found my Bloodseeker after about 30 minutes of looking. I finally found it at 46.34 while I was server hopping. I used Chrominius, Anubisath Idol and a Bloodgazer Hatchling. This was the hardest to find pet for Nazjatari Safari. Good luck and happy hunting!

I got mine at 45,45 but initially every time I clicked on it I got an error message saying the play area was obscured. I had to kill the elementals next to it and then stand on it to get the battle to start.

After an hour of searching and killing, I got mine, then immediately, right beside it, was a 2nd. Both Rare quality. Currently asking in Gen chat and made group in Custom to try and get it for someone.

After running to all the spawn locations of Deeptide Fingerlings, killing them off as suggested, and then waiting for them to respawn as Bloodseekers, and doing this for hours and days with no success of a Bloodseeker spawning, I thought of a strategy. Since they are "bloodseekers", I thought perhaps if I use a pet that causes the Deeptide Fingerling to bleed when battling it, perhaps it would bring back a Bloodseeker when it respawned... I know, crazy, right? The very first time I tried, I used a Bucktooth Flapper which caused the Deeptide Fingerling to bleed, then followed with an attack of "blood in the water" on a Deeptide Fingerling already captured. Upon respawning, lo and behold the first Bloodseeker I had seen in 3 days of hunting. Coincidence? All I know is I'm happy to have the achievement FINALLY!

Took me 2 days but I got mine at 46/39. I tried killing all the Deeptide Fingerlings and even did the Blood in the Water trick with Bucktooth Flapper and Deeptide Fingerling. I collected Ore to kill time as I had killed so many pets that very few were up at all. Not sure which if any worked but I got one. It was even a blue!

Found mine at 75/31, as from alle the others comments it was a rare with PP-Breed. I made circles around the rivers and killed all Deeptide Fingerlings, both Battle Pets and normal critters. I can definetely confirm that battle pets can spawn in the same spot, as the normal critters. Took me around 3 hours to finde one. Good luck to the other pet hunters.

This one drives me entirely insane. Not only the Deeptide Fingerlings sharing the spawn points are not killable outside of Pet Battle, the area ist obstructed so often that I can't even kill them in PB so I am running around Nazjatar, screaming at waterfalls FOR TWO WEEKS now, starting to think that one is a myth and was only invented by Blizzard in an elusive scheme including this page to drive me crazy. No other explanation possible.

Can anyone confirm they've gotten this recently? I'm just wondering if it's truly this hard or just broken. I've been looking literally for DAYS killing all the commons and Fingerlings but nada. This does appear to be one of the few pets that actually does share spawn points with the common spawn pets.

So you cannot kill the fingerlings to force spawn bloodseeker so it's relatively rare only found in pools of water i haven't found one yet i've been looking for an hour now this pet may be the death of me lol

I've been looking for this thing off and on for months. I wonder if there's some crazy mechanic like the one for the Snowshoe Hare: Snowshoe Hare#comments:id=1932400. It sounds like craziness, but it works. Not anything like those particular steps, just the same level of crazy.

Finally got it today. I decided to try the method of battling each Fingerling and then forfeiting and after 65 (today - 300 total) It spawned in place of a fingerling at the 3 waterfalls near Abyssal Pool.

After many hours circling the zone and only clearing the battle pet version of Deeptide Fingerling (battle the pet, kill the Deeptide Fingerling, and then forfeit), I realized that I can spawn more battle pets by also killing the critter version of Deeptide Fingerling. After one full lap clearing both types of Deeptide Fingerling, I started to do a flyover of the whole area, not killing anything, to see if the Bloodseeker had spawned anywhere. I found it fairly quickly.

TLDR; Kill every deeptide fingerling once, including the critters and battle pets. To kill the battle pets, you have to find a spot on the shore near each one to initiate battle and just kill the first fingerling and forfeit. Once you've done a full lap doing this, fly back around everywhere and you may very well find the Bloodseeker. It took about 30 minutes for me to get one once I changed my ways and stopped ignoring the critters.

Not sure if it was just good luck, but I turned War Mode on and did a single lap around Nazjatar and found 2 Bloodseeker's up, side by side, around 45,46. Later, while finishing up Nautical Nuisances, I found another around 57,40. Seems like there is much less competition for them with WM turned on.

This is the worst thing I've had the displeasure of experiencing. I killed every Deeptide Fingerling in both WM and no WM. I've done this for 6 hours now, not a single Bloodseeker. The respawn times are so long and the fact I have to pet battle each Deeptide is so frustrating. They completely changed the rules for this pet compared to other rare pets that share a spawn pool with another pet. Why can't we just kill them like normal? Why is everything become a tedious time waster?

For anyone still trying to get this, I just got mine and decided to post the method I used.

I took the list of TomTom points previously posted and made a macro of them. I went to each point one by one killing only the critter version of the Deeptide Fingerling. After going to each point I hit the waypoint macro again and started point to point again and on this second round I found my Bloodseeker, took a total of about 10 minutes. Hopefully others will have luck using this method like I did.

I killed only one Deeptide Fingerling and a Bloodseeker appeared near that spot. Either I got extremely lucky or the spawn rate was increased.

Spent 2 hours in warmode off killing the Deeptide Fingerlings (both critters and battle pets) by every spawnpoint listed here in the comment section. Then decided to switch to warmode on and found Bloodseeker within 2 min at 32, 26. Happy hunting!

Found mine as a rare P/P breed at 32.35 just north of the Ashen Strand flightpath. Deeptide Fingerlings indeed cannot be killed to force a Bloodseeker spawn more quickly. I had WM off and just kept following the water ways until 1 showed up. Be patient and you will find one :D Good luck!

I had just created the macro /target Bloodseeker and wanted to test it out.

To my surprise it targetted one close by.

I wasted 8 hours at night for killing battle pets then killing critters. There is no chance trigger to spawn Bloodseeker in 10 minutes
Just visit Nazjatar 1-2 time/day with warmode on and off. You will be find sooner or later (i find it on third day)

Here's the situation:

These guys seem to share spawn points with the Deeptide Fingerling, but the Fingerlings have a much higher chance to spawn.
Unlike other wild pets/critters, Deeptide Fingerlings cannot be attacked directly (attempting to attack them results in an "Invalid Target" warning), and they are not susceptible to AOE damage, so you can't kill them to force a respawn with a chance at generating a Bloodseeker.
There is apparently a toy capable of killing critters (mentioned on the Fingerling's page), but I don't have that.
Bloodseekers do not seem to ever appear as backline pets.

So here's what I did when I couldn't find any wild Bloodseekers: I killed or captured every Deeptide Fingerling on the map in battle. (Note: If you kill them in battle, you can forfeit or die after that first battle and they will stay dead.) After clearing out one area, I'd return to an area that I'd previously cleared out- and eventually I found a blue/rare Bloodseeker. Took me two days.
