The Filthy Slime is obtained from the Filthy Bucket in Tol Dagor. To summon Gol'than the Malodorous, click the Filthy Bucket, which is located in a hole in the wall. The hole is in 'The Brig', in the third cell to your right.

The pet is not a guaranteed drop.

The pet is cageable and therefore can be bought and sold on the Auction House.

You can keep resetting the instance for a chance at this pet without having to wait for the weekly reset. I did not receive Filthy Slime on my first kill so I reset the instance, killed Gol'than the Malodorous a second time and received the pet on that second kill.

Getting the Filthy Slime pet is easier than you may think!

To begin with, ~~you need 5 people~~ (EDIT: As of 8.3.7 it's soloable) in order to summon the rare. After assembling your group this is what you need to do :

Enter Tol Dagor on Mythic difficulty and kill first boss. You can avoid most of the trash by just going left and around them until you reach the boss.
Clean trash in the "Drain" (ground floor/sewer) until you reach "The Brig" (1st floor)
On your way there look for a key https://imgur.com/a/Duo0aGD (they spawn on multiple random locations and are easy to miss.)
Possible locations for the keys are :

- https://imgur.com/a/UM8lonY
- Upon reaching the cell I marked on the second image above, you just open it using the key you have found.
- Lastly you enter the cell, go through the hole on the wall and arrive at a room with a bucket. Click on it and the Gol'than the Malodorous will be summoned. He is pretty easy to kill on a five man group around 340ilvl

Some general observations :

The drop chance cannot be determined yet but as far as my experience goes, in 10 runs everyone got it (it includes trading with each other).

It is not a guarantee drop. You may kill it and noone gets it.

It can drop more than once per person.

It can drop to multiple people at once.

It's personal loot but Filthy Bucket can be traded with the other party members.

The pet is cageable and can be bought/sold on the Auction House.

The key ( Discarded Cell Key ) looks like this in your bags : https://imgur.com/a/KIqxkOq ( It says it lasts one day, but as soon as someone unlocks the cell, all party members' keys disappear from bag). You just have to loot a new one every time you enter the instance.

Not sure if this changed but on Mythic difficulty you cannot reset the instance. I've tried going in here, killing the first boss, killing the mob. But when I go to reset the instance nothing happens. I can zone out, zone back in to where the first boss was killed, make my way back to the bucket, but it cannot be clicked. This might be an 8.2 change.

Well even if they changed something with reseting dungeon , you still can soft reset dungeon(run out and wait ~30min) and slowly farm this pet!

Best what i found for myself is:
On fresh run you kill first boss + Gol'than then keep clearing and kill Jes Howlis so with that method you don't need to clear all trash again because you spawn in Jes Howlis room with all trash dead after soft reset.
also tip after you kill Gol'than create group and leave so you will get ported outside in 1min.

My friend and I went and looked for the key after completing the dungeon with a group (they didn't want to stay for that). We found the key and went to summon the mini boss, but after clicking the bucket, nothing happened. I'm not sure if it just bugged for us, or if the mini-boss cannot be summoned after the dungeon is complete. I'm hoping to find input from other people who may have had this issue.

It took 21 runs for me and 16 for my friend. So chances should be 5.5%

Strangely, from about july 25th till now, I haven't been able to find the bucket. I've gone into the dungeon regularly since then, and the location that the bucket should spawn in is completely empty. Could be a me problem or they could've removed it from the game, seems like an odd decision if they have though.

You're not entirely sure where this came from, nor do you really want to know, but you are sure that it does eat a tremendous amount of garbage.

The location of this NPC is unknown.
