Vanndar is the objective of the Horde AV Raid. When you cap the Stormpike Aide Station and kill Vanndar, you will have won AV! :) Too bad it never happens for horde :P

Vanndar is also the Alliance Battlemaster in Alterac Valley, has wroten a book, and likes to shout things to raise morale. You can also ask him how many of certain units are left.

ok guys im gonna be straight up with you aliance 51-60 Avs are full of noobs they never win on the other hand the 70s like almost always win so 51-60 get better plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although it is kinda funny to read the book he wrote. Anyway, on most Realms right now, Alliance wins almost all AV matches, both in the 50-59, 60-69, and 70 (Not sure if its 60-70 or not). At least on the Battlegroup Vindication, Alliance wins more or less all AV matches.

vanns damage will stay the same but balindas will be stronger and she will have no interruption and slow effects on her as i heard

As of patch 2.4 Vanndar Stormpike no longer gives info about how many elite NPCs are left at Alterac valley, these elites were mostly removed in patch 2.3

Vanndar Stormpike, as same as Drek'thar, are now having officers next to them, increasing their total health by 25% per officer. This effect is stacking. One officer of each towers are ready to protect Vanndar/Drek'thar. So there are a maximum of four officers, stacking the end boss by 100%. When a tower is destroyed, the officer representing that tower will dissapear and one buff will be gone. Anyhow, the officers can be killed, but it is very hard due to the amount of bosses, officers, elite npcs and players in the same room.

I would imagine that his HP goes up from the 60 bracket to the 70 bracket, does anyone know if the hp amount shown is for the 60, 70, or bolth brackets?

Is it just me or is Van alot harder to kill then Drek? I mean besides the base difference, Van has the Avatar ability which is a major pain in the ass especially if he has any bunker officers still up, whereas Drek has 2 pathetic dogs and a weak enrage ability.

Edit: I wrote this original comment in 2008. This was before he got buffed to be on par, at the time his Enrage ability had the effect "increases all damage done by 18" or something to that effect.

Xandin, You are wrong :P. Vanndar might have Avatar which increase his dmg done and armor by 50%, but drek's 2 dogs ( ok i agree they are weak ) BUT Drek's Enrage ability now increase his dmg done by 167% ( which is a lot ) and his attack speed by 50%. So i would guess they are on same difficult.

An ability not listed here that he uses is Stormbolt. Unfortunately it has not been scaled since level 60, so still hits for 165 Nature damage, even in the level 80 bracket.

Hotfixes for 27/03/2010:

In Alterac Valley, the buffs that the Generals get from the Warmasters and Marshals now grant them negative enemy dodge. This means they will now ignore some of their target's total dodge percentage. The base health of the Generals has been increased and the buff also grants a slightly increased amount of damage and health.

New values will be posted here once the restart happens.

Drek'Thar and Vanndar Stormpike now have equal health values, maxxing out at 1443400 health with all 4 towers up. For Vann, this is up from 1,069,660.

Drek'thars tower Warmasters and Vanndars Marshal's buff have now been buffed, from 25% to 40%, which makes the rush tactic a very bad idea. With all 4 bunkers / towers up Vanndar and Drek'thar + the warmasters and marshals gets a total damage done and HP by 160%. Imagine if you are alliance and rushing Drek, tanks goes first, all warmasters + drek on him, Drek use Enrage ( 167 % more damage and attack speed ) -> knockback = dead tank ... And if you are horde rushing Vanndar, same there but Vanndar does Avatar and then Stormbolt = dead tank too..... the rush tactics does not work anymore. If not u got a super premade of doom with ( just an example ) 15 healers and 5 tanks ( 1 on each marshal / warmaster + the boss ) + 5 other OT's and then 15 awesome dps. They got 1,4M hp which is very low to be a 40man raid so 15 dps with Bloodlust / Heroism should be enough. :)

Vanndar Stormpike: 20 246k health.
Abilities / damage (Patch 6.1):

On tanks:
80-100k main hand hits.
40-50k off hand hits.
(Attack speed is around 2s each weapon).

Thunderclap: Deals 38-42k (nature) damage and slows players attack speed by 33% and movement speed by 80% for 10 seconds. 10 yards range and around 13 sec cooldown.

Stormbolt: Deals 89k (nature) damage and stuns a target for 5 seconds. Around 6 sec cooldown.

Avatar: Increases armor by 50% and physical damage done by 50% for 15 seconds. Around 25 sec cooldown.

Note: The damage/health values are without any modification from the bunkers.

From Hotfix 22 December 2020;

Vanndar Stormpike peered across the Alterac Valley battleground and saw that his adversary's health was 20% higher than his own. Not to be outdone, Vanndar has put in the work and increased his own health by 20%.

Looks like the Open woons have been healed!
