Forgive me if someone has already stated this, but i have neither time nor patience to read through all the posts. On our achievements, isn't there a statistic that says how much gold we have spent on respecs? Would it not be reasonable for blizz to say, "The cost of Dual speccing is 1000g minus how much gold you have spent on respecs." I mean they are already keeping track of the number for us, shouldn't be too hard imo.which, btw im at 1500g in respecs atm, which i am sure is nothing compared to the people who play this game more seriously than i
So Scribes are just totally screwed, then?Nobody will ever need new Glyphs again, Scrolls are near useless and the only thing we can possibly make money on is Darkmoon Cards, which have a 75% chance of being worth less than the mats used to create one.well i buy scrolls agilty, not to mention all the tomes you can make and there are always new players/character coming on who would want glyphs
Here are my thoughts,First of all people should quite whining over a 1,000 gold fee. It's not that bad. Think about it's something to strive for. Similarly, not everyone can buy an epic flier on a new post-WOTLK character the day it hits 77 or 80 can they? The only time the duel specialization would really matter is above level 60 or so. Until then people can perform out-of-spec duties, except perhaps protection characters DPS'ing. Although it would still be possible just inefficient.Nextly, I'm not sure scribes have a right to complain. They have the most useful profession after enchanting. Tailoring/Leatherworking/Blacksmithing all have a few item enhancements and items that are sought after, however everyone needs Glyphs and new characters are always being created. For example, I myself have 9 level 60+ characters on Eredar-US and not all of them can afford glyphs when they cost 20-50 gold per major glyph and 10 gold or so per minor glyph. Every character can have three major and three minor glyphs at 80. So then that's a minimum of 90 gold on glyphs alone per character. It may not sound like a lot, but it does make a difference. Also, duel specialization would only be necessary before level 40 if you wanted to say start as a healer or a tank. I can understand that because my first 80 and second 70, my holy priest has never been anything other than holy for more than a day or two at a time when I mess with discipline. However, my advice would be that people start as DPS and then when they duel spec get the other spec they desire. Additionally, this feature is so amazing you have no idea. Can you imagine the hassle something like this gives Blizzard? It would take approximately twice as many resources per player for this to work, so 1000 gold is nominal. If you just pick up one gathering profession such as skinning, mining, or herbalism you can very easily make a 1000 gold. At level 60 my hunter as a skinner made a couple hundred gold a week from skinning in Outlands.Either way think of the possibilities for 80s where it will be at its most useful. I suppose mages, warlocks, rogues, and hunters can't understand necessarily why it'd be amazing although I have many friends who do use more than one spec with those classes, such as a PvE and a PvP build. But for characters who say can heal/DPS, or tank/DPS, or heal/tank this is incredibly useful. I know on my paladin who had up until I recently disposed of his healing set had THREE sets. He still carries two in his bag, a retribution and a protection set. I have often been trapped in the middle of an instance with a "disconnected" tank or healer. Well wouldn't it be excellent if you could freely get out of combat and switch specs to fill the spot and go one DPS down?
This is absolutely awesome! No more time wasted spamming trade with "lf TANK! Nejse gruop!"The only thing that worries me is that Blizzard puts it on live in its current state, and then after a few months decide "hey! That's far too imba!" and remove it, and I just decided the day before too spent the gold on five chars, what then? 5000 Gold out the window?
In a nutshell, some of us have lives. Now I'm not saying people who managed to save up for this don't have lives, but I can assure you that at least 1/4 them spend at min 12 hrs a day playing wow, and tell us to shut the bloody heck up cause they don't want competition. Now - Looking at this BGwise. When I dedicate a morning to bgs, let's say wsg, when I do it over and over I find the same people joining. Now imagine Alliance have dual spec and Horde dont. Finished the second bg. Alliance : Oh lookie they have this this and this specs lets change specc to counterAlly own bgz.Thanks.
First of all necro much? And what makes you think Ally will have it and Horde wont...That is a stupid assumption and was not worth bringing this thread back up
