I'm a Protection Paladin, and have been that since level 31 at the very start of Burning Crusade.I don't know how much gold I've spent on respeccing Retribution or Holy just for a single raid boss, so this is VERY welcome. Also, people are complaining about having to go to a major city in order to switch spec? Didn't you already have to do that? This is just free, and you don't have to set your talent points all the time. Sure, it's going to be very rare to find a scribe who can do this for you in a 5-man heroic, but then again... who respecs for a single heroic boss fight?I can see this being very useful in 25-man raids, where you're very likely to have at least one scribe in the raid.Besides, right now I'm using a "hybrid-tank" spec, which allows me to solo oldschool raid bosses, while still being able to tank decently. With this dual-spec I'm able to have a full-out solo spec, and a full-out tank.
Is anyone else seeing this as a potential increase in Tanks/Healers that have no idea how to Tank/Heal?Scenario: Resto Druid who has never tanked anything past level 40 seeing a group in LFG needs a tank for an instance he wants. He respecs and goes onto tanking for them. Sadly, since he has no idea how to play a tank, it just results in a lot of wipes and not much progress.Something along those lines.Anyway, I am happy for these changes, now I can play my normal Affliction spec, and toy around with demonology on the side without paying. :)
Hmm, Might not work as expected.Don't really want to get heald by some1 with the wrong gear and/or no experience as a healer. same things counts for DPS an Tanks also of course. We'll see ^^
The maximum level requirement is just bunk, the explanation for such is one of the lamest they have tried to pass off. Sorry, the people who would take advantage of dual spec are not the people learning their class. Let alone to say you have to be 80 to know your class is just ignorant. If anything letting people having multiple specs early, say level 55 (gee - the level DKs start at) would teach people MORE about how their class works by letting them experience it from different angles.
I think it was a good idea to make only 80s be able to do this. Also I like the new talent tree idea.
gee golly i sure can't wait!
dual spec at lower levels -> more tanks and healers -> more pugs running lower level dungeons -> ppl learn to play better and fasterso..yes, dual spec at 40+ or 50+ please
