As has been said on the last page of comments, Covenent Armour pieces are NOT intended to be used by players who spend most of their game time in Dungeons, PvP or Raids... you'll obviously be geared higher than those who stick to open world/story content. Some of us are happy to be Renoun 21 & AiL 180+... let us be.
They need to fix transmog and repair cost for covenant armors. Its way too expensive.
I had no idea you could upgrade them at all.
The itemlvl is fine by me, but it completely short-circuits any reason to do WQs, normal dungeons, heroic dungeons, mythic 0 dungeons, and LFR. That's a lot of content to render obsolete with solo catch-up gear. They should push up the itemlvls on that other stuff so it's worth doing-- at least equal to 197. If you go any higher than you start to compete with normal raiding and that starts a chain reaction.
Bro
All of the people who are trying to argue that you can't get the anima quickly enough can give up. I hit 60 Jan 7, and have a full set of 197 covenant armor Jan 12. The only reason I didn't get it sooner is that I was too lazy to farm renown levels constantly. I got them mostly from callings, random bg of the day, lfr raid bosses, and random dungeons. I was never short on anima despite doing 2 anima WQ my entire time at 60.
It will cost 6900 anima if you kept your set. 7800 if you need to buy the pieces aswell.
Is there going to be a way to get them above 197?
Also a great way to get cheap enchanting mats for cheap. You can DE the quest epic rewards (Chest, Boots, Shoulders if you are Necrolord) for Eternal Crystals then buy the replacements for only 100 Anima each. The purchased gear can not be DE'd
Bit late reply but thank you! Guess I have to pick my upgrades :D
if repair costs matter to you, you're doing something wrongDon't you just hate condescending answers like thatIf you don't know how much the repair costs are inflated by or as it may seem if you just dont want to share that information then why not just stay quiet.People come onto wowhead to seek answers their looking for and to sometimes to find out which questions they should be asking.NOT that they should have to do that but the developers /blizz whoever seem to have a policy of not making information available in game as you progress but they'd rather be keeping everyone in the dark as much as possible. At least thats how it looks and no body has bothered to refute that to dateFor example I only found out today that I could upgrade my covenant armour.
this is a cool feature for the most casual of players, like myself! sure, the anima cost adds up pretty fast, but if you don't do a lot of normal raids or mythic+, and mostly play solo, this is a great option.
In case you were wondering it’s 8,400 to upgrade all 8 pieces from rank 1.
