My hunter will definately be trying for this gorgeous pet.
For anyone looking to tame this, there's an easier way to do it than the Aspect of the Turtle method; just run away after pulling Dambala, and feign death once he summons them. They return to where they were summoned while the boss runs back to the starting location. You can just pick off tames one after another without threat after that. Lets you take two if you wanted one as a summon and another in your stable for Animal Companion.
Well crap I completed the quest but didnt tame. Oh well.
What a bummer I didn't know about this.
This is one of the few times I'm grateful for being behind in my questing. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this guy. Thanks wh.
The gold phalynx in Bastion is also a one-time only tame. You can tame it on the quest "You Go First," but once you do that quest you can't access it again. I don't think you need to be Kyrian for that one though.
There's one fun thing about this serpent that makes it even better; it's not real. What I mean is that it's basically the same as a mage's Mirror Image; they're fake magical clones that don't truly exist. You're taming literal magic, not a beast. I'm glad I knew about these from people who did the quest on beta, because the moment I saw the quest come up, I immediately went and tamed two. It's an absolute shame they're cunning, aka completely worthless outside of vanity, but they're still visually appealing and totally worth taming. A sad truth for a lot of beasts...

the pet is snake or spirit abilities ?
Would have been killer info before the renown 8 week, lol.
Can we get a list of 'tame or you will miss it forever' hunter tames guide please? Thanks
I like how Damballa is portrayed as a reference to the Haitian Loa with his snake demeanor, but tooltip, "Loa of Treachery" making Damballa a reference to the same-named security software (which had rivaled FireEye in competition, but then was bought out in an evasive financial maneuver in 2016 by another security company called Core Security).
Maybe would've been better to post this closer to the start of the reset...
Looking for someone to help me partysync for this quest for a tame. Please reply <33 will compensate for the efforts.
This method worked best for me:
I just engaged the rare, then Disengaged and used Feign Death. It's easy and you can repeat it if you want multiple tames ( I did it twice ). I suspect though that Blizz is gonna do something to change this appearance. On the log in screen it shows up as a green cobra and if I remember right prior instances of any pet that had a different appearance on the log and screen and in game the pet was changed so it lost it's "special" appearance and was changed to match the log in screen appearance.
anyone tamed the mobs in mists of tirna sithe, the ones after first boss, they seem to be tamable also, but do they keep the skin they have or just become regular colors when tamed?
