This event should have some rewards, at least one achievment or something.
@Perculia: "Retail" is such an ugly word for a game we like. It's a game and a fantasy world we love, not a store or something. Can we not rather call it by its actual name, or BfA for short (for a few weeks), then Shadowlands (in 4 weeks, hopefully)? I would appreciate that a lot.Still, thanks for the holiday reminder. :)
@mageranger13: The game directory is not the issue here. I don't care what the game directory is called, that's an IT issue and I understand the usefulness in calling the directory that.My issue is having the game on the website called "Retail", which is not a game name, but a financial term or whatever it can be described as (I'm not a native speaker, sorry). And no, "Retail" is not the singular name that transcends all expansions. In fact, I can find it on not a singular one of my WoW expansion packs. There is a singular name though, even on all of these expansion packs, maybe you've heard of it: "World of Warcraft".Also, I don't think you speak for "the rest of us". This thread alone shows I'm not the only one who hates their favorite game being called "Retail".
@Xenavire: That's very simple. I would do exactly as is done with "Classic". The game is called "World of Warcraft: Classic", people call it "Classic". The modern WoW right now is called "World of Warcraft: Batttle for Azeroth", people call it "Battle for Azeroth" or "BfA" for short. (soon to be Shadowlands, of course)While "World of Warcraft" is the name of both games, that which comes after it in name should be used, as simple as that. And since it doesn't say "World of Warcraft: Retail" on my expansion box.... I don't see while anyone would call it that.Another point which avoids confusion on Wowhead is the tagging of the news. It says "live" for live (modern) wow Servers, "classic" for classic news, "PTR" for test realm stuff. Should not be any confusion if a news article title reads "<insert cool news here> ...in BfA"And about that file path: As I said, I don't mind that at all.
