We literally witnessed Bridenbrad ascend to Paradise with the Light. Now Shadowlands natives are saying there is no Light afterlife. But it's not a retcon. Uh huh. Sure buddy. And you need to play through Icecrown again. We killed loads of Scourge with the specific goal in the quest text of freeing their spirits from the curse to get to their rightful afterlife. A religion that does not deliver on any of its spiritual promises is nothing more than a school of magic. You guys made all these excuses, saying things were going to turn out better than they looked when betas were showing us Sylvanas burning the tree, the Night Elves getting shameful content, and et cetera. I know better know.
There could be souls sent other planes of existence other than the Shadowlands. We know that demon souls were sent to the Twisting Nether and titanic power (Argus) could be used to revive them. Very similar to how anima works in Shadowlands.

I think I just figured out who the Banished One (aka Jailer) is. It's Amon from Starcraft, WoW version. A rogue Titan, just like Sargeras, only Sargeras won his fight with Pantheon, while this guy lost it and got assigned to watching over Maw as punishment. Obviously he wasn't very happy about it,then along came Sylvanas who didn't want to end up in Maw and the rest is history.Looking forward to kicking a real Titan's ass because I didnt play when Argus content was endgame and also both Argus and Aggramar were just poor unwilling servants and not real Big Bads anyway.
@tcws: Wow, astonishing, such aggressiveness. What the heck are you even going on about? If I happened to step on your toes for some reason I'm not aware of, I'm sorry for that, but I'm certainly not sorry for daring to state my opinion to the topic just as others did. No idea what that talk of getting tired and enemies even is about. I don't see anyone in a game forum as enemy. One thing I'm very interested in though, you say "rival religion", rival to what other religion exactly?Concerning in-game religion and lore, just to clarify: I have no problem with in-game religion at all. In fact, I find it fascinating, especially because it relates to very real, existing cosmological circumstances of that world. And the things I mentioned, the Light being neither good nor evil, and not telling all truths is not my invention but ingame lore! If you played Legion you should know. Also Blizzard stated the Shadowlands being the afterlife. If you find that BS, you're entitled to your opinion, of course. Maybe you should find another game if the way the story goes makes you so uncomfortable.I like the idea of the Shadowlands with all its diverse regions or planes, if you will. Is that what you mean by "wish-fullfilment"? I only wish for a good story, and we don't always get that, sure (BfA was a mess, in my opinion). I like stories with some more subtleties, more context about them. I'm bored by "good vs. evil" simplicity. If the latter is your thing, well, each to his own, I guess. *shrugs*
@tcws: That school of magic statement did not come from me. But yes, I found it amusing. Still do. You'll get over it, I'm sure. You seem to view the Light and Void a bit different than I do, that's fine. But the only one "attacking" perceived "enemies" I see here is you - be that people who view the story in a different light than you do (like me and other players around here), be that Blizzard for not being religious enough for your tastes... if I read that mess of yours correctly.Well, you are free to disagree with me - just like I'm free to disagree with you - that's not an "enemy" thing, for me at least. I have no protestant family member I know of, btw, not sure what that would even matter for. Oh, and you still haven't told me what rival religion you were talking about, I'm curious.
do we know what the xp gain is like with this, with alts?
Quick question does the Pre-Patch gives us the new racial customizations already? Also, can the Frost DK's use 2-Handed swords or we need to wait for Shadowlands?
