Cycle of the element talent would be in other lane to make a great combo with firenova talent. Its not to be more powerfull, its for a funny combo.
Thank goodness, I put enhancement away in Legion and went Elemental, I strongly disliked the move to rockbiter and maelstrom as a resource, it felt bland and uninspired. I would greatly welcome a change back to Mists/Warlords play style!
Enh Shammys dont need CL and crash Lightning even if they're trying to make em interactive with each other
I noticed an editing mistake that the proofreader of this article probably missed.Where it says, "So, after facing probably one of Enhancement’s darkest expansions with Battle for Azeroth," it somehow erroneously says "probably one of." Also, "expansions" should read "expansion."This is potentially misleading, I feel. Please have this corrected for accuracy purposes. Otherwise, the article looks great! Can't wait to get back into Enhancement Shaman!oh god oh god oh god is it almost over oh god
Rockbiter's gone? Shame, I liked the cronch.Earth is massively underutilized with the Shaman.
The kyrian covenant abilty is the only viable choice right now for enhancement, as melee you really don't want to be casting anything and 3/4 abilities are for caster .... They need to learn how to create useful ablities for a whole class, right now enhancement doesnt have any choice.
I find these kinds of posts hilarious as I've been maining resto shaman for 2 expansions now and off-specced enh and I've been having a blast with it. So many people saying that Enh is objectively bad while I'm here proving that they're objectively wrong. It's a subjective question, not an objective one. Otherwise people like me and a few of my friends wouldn't exist. As a result I really dislike posts like these, quite honestly. Someone stating as a fact what is fun and what is not is just bad for the game in general. That's why you've got so many people discriminating against certain specs when doing their weekly +15 even though at that level it literally doesn't matter what specs you bring. You can clear those dungeons with a full druid group if you so desire. If you can't complete a +15 it doesn't matter what specs you brought, it means that your players are #$%^.
My thoughts.- Healing Stream Totem: Should be removed class-wide. It's just a GCD you'll have to use all the time. It has very high total healing per casting time and is incredibly efficient but very low actual healing, so it never saves the day or feels impactful. This simply feels bad. It's a button you hate to push but need to anyway. Same reason they removed Searing Totem (which was admittedly much worse).- Windfury Totem: Is this still not raid-wide? If so, that obviously needs to happen. C'mon. This isn't classic. You don't want players to have to make "melee groups".- Fire Nova: This was terrible back in the day, and the guide author explained why quite well. I applaud the devs' ambition in trying to provide two viable AE playstyles, but we all know darn well one of them is going to win out. I'm terrified Fire Nova will be the winner! Please give up on Fire Nova from Flame Shocked enemies. It feels bad to play.- Crash Lightning: This should be modified so Enhance doesn't want to use it on single targets. Perhaps it should share a cooldown with Stormstrike, with its damage adjusted accordingly.- Windfury Weapon and Flametongue Weapon: Why are these not passive? Why make players rebuff every half hour? This is just busywork deliberately added so the devs can say they unpruned these abilities. Not a huge deal, but it's just bewildering why they would do it.
In spanish forum we are talking about change windfury and flametongue buffs to passive buffs instead active buffs too. If we could enhance both weapons with the same buff i understand that it was active, but if not ¿why not turn it into passive?
Only reason I can think of is because that's how it was in vanilla and a great deal of the Shadowlands unpruning is "bring stuff back exactly like patch 1.12".I mean, Windfury Totem not being raid-wide is crazy!
I find it weird that this is all supposedly so necessary. I started Enhance with Warlords and found it a staggeringly powerful mix of Fury Warrior, Mage, and Paladin that's very survivable given the number of tools it has like getting to use maelstrom for instant heals, getting to use Hex as a fight reset, speccing into Capacitor Totem for an Aoe stun, and at worst popping EB Totem and then Ghost Wolf to escape. This is while also having the best spell interrupt in the game (14 sec at range; ask a Boomkin or Mage about interrupt cd's some time.)For me praying for Stormstrike was not a thing, spamming Crash Lightning was not a thing -the number of times in a fight I truly did not have Lava Lash or Storm Strike to use was aggressively minimal and that was before picking up that Azerite trait that gave a stacking damage buff for rotating damage elemental types. Enhancement does not lack at all for variety and while Chain Lightning -> Crash Lightning loops might sound meaningful they're not. It's faux complexity; stuffing two abilities into the space where one fit while also making the mistake of bringing back Shocks and Totems to both muddle gameplay with the pseudo-blaster powers and to burden us with, as was adroitly said, "babysitting totems." Enhancement has no business or sense not being a front line slayer where, ah ha, those precious totems will have to be to have effect.Praying for Stormstrike will be replaced with praying for Maelstrom; how dynamic. Presumably our Enhancement expert author is aware of that the maelstrom system changes were made because we were unhappy with how random and gradual maelstrom's implementation was, yes? Hence build and spend? And now we're going back and this is good? They should try Fury Warrior; pretty soon they'll understand how good they have it. Also getting to use Claw Weapons (a rarity unto itself) to deliver thunderous blasts of death is just fun. Hopefully at least that won't change. Two-handers sounds fine, but claws brah! C'mon. Everybody gets some inflated glowing beatstick. Few get truly useful claws. So, yeah. SL legacy powers remains a bloody mess. More junk that does less. More crap in my ui. And now it's Enhance's turn. Great.(edited to be more polite)
Wait, if Mythic+ self-healing is a problem, presumably because gcd use for Healing Surge is inefficient, why are we not begging for Leech as a solution?Wouldn't that work better?
