i like to nominate Dumass for forsaken leadership
They didn't make her undead for no reason. There are plenty of ways her story could've gone after Sylvanas massacred everyone at Arathi including Calia dying before we meet her again in the Shadowlands or escaping and living with the regret. If she lived she wouldn't necessarily have to have thrown her lot in with the Alliance. Not everyone has to join one of the factions and she could've taken up a position in a group like the Argent Crusade or a similar one if she just wanted to help people. Instead she's now undead and meddling with the Forsaken and any other undead who would follow her. Blizzard has something planned for her and it'll all come to a head eventually.
Shes not my queen, I didn't vote for her.
Lightforged Undead confirms too? :)
Yass queenyass
I wonder if this means we can get Undead Paladins now since she opens up light undead.
Forsaken mains are going to have to accept this I'm afraid. After first MoP and now again BfA and the "breaking the cycle" storyline, there can no longer be a player race that is canonically evil / dishonorable. The Forsaken's Tim Burton-esque evil alchemist saturday morning cartoon villain can no longer be sustained in the current narrative unless they are to break away from the Horde and become an enemy NPC faction, which is of course not possible.Bringing in Calia (in conjunction with a new Desolate Council perhaps) and reconnecting with the Lordaeron heritage is pretty much the best way to balance them out as a cursed race looking for redemption and/or a cure. Also, undead paladins.
The Alliance of Lordaeron is not the Alliance post third war, they are different. Alliance of Lordaeron was gnomes, dwarves, high elves of quel'thalas, and the human kingdoms, lead by Lordaeron. Post third war, Kul Tirans left, Lordaeron was lost, majority of high elves became blood elves and were shunned by Alliance for Kael'thas' actions, night elves joined due to orcs trying to attack their lands and cut down their trees, not to mention the slaying of Cenarius. To say that Calia has these big ties to today's Alliance would be a lie, as she was in hiding after the fall of Lordaeron, and followed Alonsus Faol since then, and was an entirely neutral player during Legion, her ties are to Lordaeron and it's people, most of whom are Forsaken at this point in time, and although she is undead by different means she is still an undead.
Technically if a Menethil rules them again, they aren't Forsaken anymore. So, she can be the Horde Undead faction leader, but not the "Forsaken leader" because they will have a new name... probably just "The Kingdom of Lordaeron".Expect Lordaeronian (redeemed/lightmended), Nightborne (just from getting cozy with the Blood Elves), and Night Elf (Night Warriors) Paladin lore to get laid in Shadowlands, playable maybe? or the expansion after?
it would make sense for her to lead the forsaken but it would not make sense for her to join the horde
Hopefully not, she's too noble. I like being Forsaken to be shady and morally ambiguous to evil.
All of these reveals and still not convinced to buy this game. Everything I've seen so far is window dressing, and another attempt at a convoluted battle system.
If the forsaken ha e someone to lead then and give them hope after the events of Arathi and first hand seeing how Sylv bailed on us all then who better to suit them ? Even Lilian is working to better their people . I’m interested to see how this pans out for the Forsaken I’m interested in our interaction with Kael’thas for us Blood Elves as well.
She’s the least Forsaken-like candidate they could possibly put forward. Hopefully once Sylvanas inevitably betrays him Nathanos will join us to take her down and lead the Forsaken himself.
