I do NOT like that every race only has one back drop.
TBh the live sets look way better than the ones they r using in aplha . are they trying to drive new players away from the game ?
Lookin good!
This is empty, there's no heart, nothing tying the character creation screen visuals and player experience to azeroth and nothing giving the player that sense of thrill when making a character whose about to enter a fantasy world. bleak. should have gone the more immersive route, not a detached, tablet looking display. alienating and lacking that blizzard feel.
Priest should be re- reworked or just keep the Live one imo!others are pretty cool ^^
I don't know how it's an improvement. Though the sets looks OK the side bars have been totally destroyed.
Some of the new sets are really nice, but in a few cases I like the old ones more. What about worgens? :(
Shaman is the same visual gear :(
The druid one looks pretty sick!
Oh MY GOODNESS look at this! Cleaned up, and expanded! and less bold on the eyes! enjoyable!
i dont get the hate for the different armors lol. imagine being a new player and seeing that mythic nighthold rogue set vs the boring original set. i would love to level a rogue after seeing that so i can go farm that armor. its about time the character select screen showed armor that actually looks cool. the original dk set was fine but the antoras gear just screams badass. as for the minimalistic look, a lot of people use elvui which makes the ui look more modern and less artsy, but you dont see anyone complaining about that... yall are just complaining to complain. its time to bring wow out of 2005
so many words just to repeat the same concepts and a point of view that is TOTALLY subjective."a place of warmth" means very little except maybe for you beacuse you have fond memories. i was playing TBC too and wouldn't go back a day to the state the game was but i still find it lackluster in many visual aspects. Not so much in the quality of art because the team provides mostly good assets (with some duds but nobody's perfect) but definitely in the art direction and general lack of willingness to pursue newer, bolder designs. Everything looks tacky. So again, maybe it's just personal, you find skeumorphic interfaces immersive, i find them lame.Function and form are related, they need to be, a UI must be able to disappear in a neutral, agnostic way to give room to functionality (in this case playing a game smoothly), a well designed UI just disappears as an aftertought and wooden textures, bolts, clunky animations and so on don't help a bit in this direction.Clinging to the past because of memories from a vocal part of the audience is a reason why every update to the gaming world is met with controversy. The world should evolve but people are still complaining about Cataclysm because "muh vanilla zones". This is what i mean by we cannot have nice things.
