It seems like only one of these trees for each covenant has access to three "throughput" conduits, which seems like it will end up being the default choice for any dps who is min-maxing. A little disappointing.
These look awesome. The traits in each tree seem pretty weak/situational separately, meaning a lot of tuning can be focused on the bonuses that you slot in instead of the soulbind itself. Excited.
For the people thinking about how this is affecting their min/maxing whilst also wanting cosmetics, I think I've found a soloution:Each covenant has 4 armor sets (plate, mail, leather, cloth). What if, in addition to having a functional version of the armor, there is also a cosmetic version of each of them, that's account-wide. Ofcourse it has a small price, which could be a currency of choice from this xpack. This way you do have to work for a certain covenant to gain the cosmetic outfit, but it could make your dessicion a lot less dependend. This can work since:- Min/maxing is a big thing now, and people generally want the best stats.- This xpack is supposedly alt-friendly meaning working towards a cosmetic outfit is made easier. The only downside this has, is that it wouldn't make the covenant choice matter anymore.
is it Enemi or Emeni? ability says Emeni and rest says Enemi.
awesome.
This feels something like what is happening to our society right now in the United States, if you follow what's actually going on in an objective light. Some people want to make whatever choices they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason they want....BUT...They don't want to be responsible for their choices, they want everyone else to be responsible for their choices and force those choices down everyone else's throats.Everything in life is boiled down to the choices you make, even if the only choice you have is to be responsible for how you react to things you can't control. If the Guild you are in is 'Forcing' you to play exactly the way they want, and 'Forcing' you to pick a specific Covenant because it will 'Sim' 1% better than another one, you are playing with the wrong people and you should leave and find another Guild that shares your values and values you as a person, not as a number. It is your choice. And that is the crux of the problem. If you are excluded from activities because of the choices you make by other people demanding you make a certain choice, then really, it's the people you are associating with that are the problem, not the game. Just like in life.I for one am looking forward to this. Overall, its seems like their will be tons of options to play with, experiment with and just outright enjoy. I realize that I am not a 1%er, and I don't care.If this whole new system makes it harder for the top 1% to Sim crap and it makes it harder for them to kill bosses on Mythic Raids the week they are released, I don't care. I actually think it is better for World of Warcraft in the long run that the World First Mythic Kill of the final raid boss takes longer than it does, I wish it would take them a couple months to do it instead of a week!People say Casuals killed the game... That is utterly false. How many times have you seen Casuals 'Force' others to play a particular "Sim" to run content? (and LOL, if they do, it's because they are wanna-be Elites who do and think what the 1% say because they think it makes them seem better than they are, but they are really just going to IceyViens or Wowhead and looking at whats best thinking they are good)WoW will never be balanced, because it can't be balanced, ever, never, ever! Unless advanced AI is created that can do a trillion math equations to 'Sim' everything exactly balanced, then do a trillion more to account for every human action possible, then do a trillion more equations to account for every circumstance regarding every different persons internet speed, computer build, equipment used, etc...Do you see how foolish and naive that all sounds? How about we ask Blizzard to make a fun game, not a robot. I know I want to have fun and play and experiment and just, well have FUN.BFA was a dumpster fire and it appears that Blizzard have recognized that and Ion even admitted that they basically 'gave-up' on BFA and started moving forward. It sucks and we all know it and feel it.BUT...I can feel the changes, I can see the changes. And I for one am excited. I will choose the Covenant I want to choice for each individual character and I won't feel bad about it. I am actually looking forward to the hard choices and as Ion said, you can change your Covenant, but you will have to work for it. That's life, and I like it.
Blizzard needs to fix Bonesmith Heirmir. Limiting the throughput conduits to two and leaving the best PvE option in the last row to lose your second throughput conduit feels bad. The potency conduit nerfs already hit hard enough. The conduit locations do not seem to fit for roles. Defensive abilities are hidden behind throughput conduits while offensive abilities are surrounded by survival and utility conduits. Wouldn't it just be better to put a cap on two total throughput conduits and then let people choose conduits manually so they can get the abilities they want and still not be stacking on throughput conduits? Opening conduits in that manner would provide more options for players to choose their bonus abilities and not feel forced to choose either conduit or ability.
