Druid, palli and warrior, what about shaman tanking guide?
Not changes differences.
y'all forgot shamans
World of Warcraft back in 2005 was a unfair game when it comes about high end game content. There were no way of getting gear aside from raid and some dps requierement were really tigh. This mean that if you can't reach the dps requierement for a certain boss even when adding every possible potions/flask/elixir in the picture, you were pretty much stuck. That's why Shield Wall was so crucial because it allow you to actually win very precious seconds on the enrage timer by allowing you to tank the boss for an additionnal 15sec (1 shield block into 10sec of shield wall into 1shield block).I'm sorry my friends, you won't play tank shamy, and tbh you won't main tank a raid boss as a pally or druid neither.
---"At 300 Defense, you still have a chance of being critically hit/crushed against Boss (level 63) mobs. Tanks need to increase their Defense Rating to avoid this. At level 60, you need 440 Defense Rating to avoid being critically hit by level 63 mobs. This requires a fully leveled 300 innate Defense, and an additional 140 Defense Rating from gear. This may be difficult to reach and focusing gear with +defense may leave your gear lacking in other important tank stats. Consider striking a balance between melee mitigation (Stamina, Armor), resistance gear when useful, and threat gear (Hit Chance, Crit Chance) instead of prioritizing the defense soft cap."---I feel like a lot of people miss this point when talking about druid tanks, druids won't ever be able to make the defense cap. This means no tanking Major raid bosses, they can't do it. Only adds, like on majordomo... etc, maybe Patchwerk off-tanking with very good gear. The article talks about threat issues, and a lack defensive cooldowns being a huge downside to druids... but honestly with a little bit of the right gear, druids are incredibly easier to play and hold aggro than warriors, at some point it's an issue for them to tank main targets due to aggro I suppose, but they're still quite useful and fun in 20 mans - can't really compete with a thunderfury, but hey...The defense cap is what prevented them from being another suitable secondary main tank.
"Paladins cannot be Tauren" is superfluous; no Horde race can be Paladin.

If by DH you mean Demon Hunter you need to wake up and smell the Classic. No Demon Hunters in Classic, not ever, not even Illidan. Clearly you are not prepared.
Isn't Base Hit cap 9%?
Worth mentioning that juju and elixir don't stack.Although the buffs both show, the stats don't change sadly. Found this out after farming a lot of juju while grinding Timbermaw in classic on my rogue and then raiding MC, RIP.
except the defense cap only matters for like.... 2-3 bossesif you think you need 440 defense to tank a raid boss then your guild is in for some rough progression.
If DH = Demon Hunter - this is a guide for classic (as you can see in the title and also at the beginning of the URL "classic.wowhead.com") and in classic, there were no demon hunters and monks, as even mentioned in the guide itself.
what is about dk dh and monk? the author misses everything lol!
In Battle for Azeroth, five classes can be tanks*cough* 6 *end cough*
I played feral, and I think my gear was one tier behind warriors for tanking. When we had enough other healers, I could tank, but the guild was reluctant because warriors = tanks. The guild leader used the terms synonymously, even after BC started. The damage bears took was spikier. And the fear thing was a problem, no stance dance. But there was at least one boss where the fear thing was replaced with a polymorph thing, where druids were immune but warriors were hosed.
"In addition, some healers did not have access to as many original races in Classic WoW:"Uh, guys? This is the tanking article. Might wanna fix that.
