Note that if you remove your shirt, you lose the buff and the title, and have to use another Free T-Shirt to get it back. You won't lose the buff if you swap shirts directly, however.
This is how Micro-Holiday's should be. Some items available (nothing game breaking or end game loot tier), an achievement maybe, and possible a title. Not all need to be for every event. Maybe rep with a various faction. It incentives people to actually do them. Previous micro-holidays were just skipped because there was nothing for me in doing them.
I went all over freehold earlier today, but not far inside the actual instance. Couldn't find anyone by that name (via target macro) nor did a star pop up, but maybe I missed it.
I believe they aren't event bound because they lack the tag that generally clarifies a specific event needs to be active
Yeah too bad about the Org vendor that wanders around. So many people following him. By the time you click on the ground item so have 40 other people and its gone. Another fail on designers. Removed
Considering one of the mobs is a scalper, I wouldn't be surprised to see it show up after the holiday ends tomorrow selling the free shirts from the other vendors scattered around the worlds. That way no one technically "misses" any of the items, keeping in line with other events, they simply have to pay a bit of gold to get the shirts.
Tomtom waypoints for vendors: /way Winterspring 59 50/way Eastern Plague Lands 74 52/way Shattrath 67 27/way Grizzly Hills 49 51/way Valley of the Four Winds 61 58/way Talador 85 31/way Stormheim 60 52
Obviously these shirts arent time limited mogs.
As per tracking down the vendors, there's one on each continent/for each expansion except for Battle for Azeroth. For those who can't easily remember on which continent/planet each area is...Azeroth (multiple expansions):
Since Dibblefur is specifically called a "scalper" it would make sense if she sells the shirts after the holiday. This would allow the micro-holiday to stick to the model where participation shouldn't feel required, but gives participants a perk in the form of freebies.
I wish the event was longer. 2 days or maybe 8am to 8am. I got back from work literally an hour too late and I've been looking forward to this holiday for months because there are specific shirts I wanted that are only available through this. I am absolutely livid, and to add insult to injury the next one is exactly a year away.
Are you in the EU?
None of the vendor shirts are a limited duration item so the transmog attained from each one will be permanent.
