I gotta' say I'm very disappointed. You would of thought 10,000 years they would of built something grand for their home under the seas. Heck' I'm pretty sure even the shimmering expanse looked better. I like to compare the work that went into the firelands expansion & raid to this tier (in terms of art/decor) and it's rather underwhelming.
The only thing that bothers me is the fact that this entire place does not look like it was not deep enough underwater. Nazjatar what I remeber atleast, was suposed to be in the deepest parts of the seafloor. And damn, this place is definately not the deepest part (That's what she said).
If the city was supposed to be preserved by water, you would think it wouldn't look exactly like the ruins in Azsuna?Very confused. I would expect it to not be the same quality as Azsuna at all. Maybe better quality but not similar. Underwater for 10,000 years vs above water.
Too...much....purples....blues...
Its aesthetically pleasing, but how will the different zones interact with each other?
RIP The Hungry Riverbeast. I shall ever remember you as "that starter ship I always rename". Sleep well, sweet prince.
I am a bit disappointed in the visuals. I think they could've had a riot of color with marine life and organic structures but it looks rather bland.I also agree it just looks like reused art assets from Azsuna all over again.
While I think the art team has done a great work, the overall concept of Nazjatar should have been placed underwater somehow. I know some people are uncomfortable in the terrain like Vash'jir, but the devs could have made some solutions by adjusting the settings and giving the players the same moving & battle environment like they are in the non-underwater zones. Just my opinion.
My most burning question is: will there be a profession area with all trainers/vendors, a scrapper and a hearth? Or are we going to have to port/walk/otherwise waste time on all alts for the sake of getting the feeling of a "big place"
The zone is STUNNING. Win, win, win for BFA. So happy with it so far.
I also couldn't figure out for the longest time how to get back to Mechagon. I had picked up the FP (I thought) in Mechagon, but then it vanished. I tried to swim and died. Finally I saw the Personal timetravel thing in my bag, that I figured was for the Chromie quest there, but it just took me straight back to Mechagon. Then I picked up a FP again, and maybe this time it will stick. But it was a hassle (these things often happen in PTR though). I think there should be a portal for Mechagon once people have had time to do the opening quest there, alongside the one to Nazjatar.
It's a shame they didn't went all the way and reused the style of alpha azsuna. Nice reference to warbringer that I didn't noticed
Shouldnt be to hard, if your leveled and experienced Aszuna from Legion. Then welcome back to previous expansion.
