I don't get the hate on this one. Everyone with a little bit of common sense should realize that what the pros do is completely different from what your standart player does. Professionals that push 20+ keys have to find ways to save as much time as possible. Even though that limits their class choice, it should not affect anyone else at all. The average player doesn't need to bring a rogue for their +5-10 keys. You also don't need a dk tank. As long as you are willing to learn you can easily do +10-15 keystones in time without having to bring a rogue, blood dk, hunter or any other specific class. Just because it would make things a little easier doesn't mean it's mandatory.
You'll use skips even for +10 keys. Just open the LFG and see the number of "LF rogue", "LF mages" groups. They are the majority. It's not ofc, for all dungeons, but for Tol Dagor (or someone with Inscription or BS). Freehold also and specially Shrine of the Storm. Most pugs aren't picky about tank specs (But you do see people LF DKs) and specially boomkins you'll see 14+ groups asking. I open the LFG multiple times a day to try to PUG as a lock. Not even a single group I found was LF a lock; that's not the issue. The issue, to me, is specs with a lot of practical utility (not theoretical - gateways that actually don't add anything but the last pulls of freehold now) that, also, do a ton of damage and are top DPS. That's the main imbalance to me. At least make the "utility" specs/classes (that as JdotB multiple times explained, are FAR more important than DPS) at least, do less DPS than the specs with less utility (warlock, Ret, Shadow, Feral, etc). At least balancing utility and DPS should be done, but not even this. Rogues do insane DPS and have shroud, the best utility ability for BfA dungeons. Havoc do insane DPS, can CC, Aoe Stun (without casting time), go immune, etc. Skips are fun and should be there. Great, let's keep 1 slot for a rogue in practically all SotS runs, but at the end, given the equivalent player skill and gear/talents/azerite, Mr. Rogue should be 3rd in the DPS meter, to justify the other 2 slots being given to other - less useful - specs.
What Blizz needs to fix is the Battle Rez skipping.
Blizzard gave the UR mobs truesight, so they clearly acknowledge that prolific skipping is a problem, however they did nothing to address other huge skips such as the start of FH. I'm hopeful that someday in the future I'll be able to pug as a non rogue non DH melee again.
Once again we see the line is very thin between an exploit and "creative use of game mechanics". Depending on the opinion of who is judging you can either have wowhead write up a promotional article of your discovery to encourage other players to take advantage of it too, or be given a suspension by Blizzard.
Maybe Shakib opted for Havoc because it’s damn too strong atm. Locks on the other hand must give up even their interrupt if they want to do as much damage as Eye Beam or WW
Its the thought that only DPS matters and people "giving up" on their actual utilities like interrupts to push the DPS meters that is the serious issue. I personally am tired of dying to mechanics in a 10-14 or even lower keys when I see two (or sometimes all) DPS with their interrupts unused. I can't heal through a Terrifying Screech that's gone off. As a healer without an interrupt, nothing is more frustrating than to watch everyone get eaten alive by interruptible casts while I see 4 interrupts available. I also get frustrated with DPS who have purges who sit there and tunnel the trash leaving all the dispels to me. There is nothing better than being in a Tol Dagor with a Havoc DH and a warlock but having them both complain about the Watery Dome on the Bilge Rats after I've already used Mass Dispel and Arcane Torrent and am trying to single dispel and heal. In my opinion if more players would use their utilities instead of tunneling DPS, more classes would be brought along. I've started asking players before I invite them to something if they will be using their Dispel/Purge/Poison removal on certain things and have had players be offended by the question. But if I'm choosing a melee for KR during a fortified week, you can bet I'd prefer the windwalker who knows when to use Detox on Hidden Blade and Poison Barrage. But if I get an answer from the windwalker that they don't use Detox because of GCD or something else, you can bet I'm moving on to someone else or even a different class that will let us make up the potential time lost due to not removing the effects.
