Im so damn happy we get another cool planet/moon on the skybox also that dark warden armor is awesome
Man, most of these comments are pure toxicity, I hate to say it but if there's anything that will ultimately kill the game, it'll be it's own player base. Why are people so entitled to have the story exactly as they think it should go? It's Blizzard's story, it's blizzard's game, we're just in for the ride. Plus, this isn't even out yet, I'm not saying it'll change, what I'm saying is that you're only looking at a fraction of the whole story, the expansion is not even 3 months old and there's already people calling doom upon it."WORST WRITING EVER" "LAZY WRITING" "STUPID WRITING"Come on, it's their game, they can write it however they like, these are all fictional characters, races, minds, magic and all that sort of stuff, claiming "that's not how undeath works" is a little dumb since it's something purely fictional and NONE of us know how it works. If I had to give an advice it would be: stop jumping to conclussions, wait until you actually get to see the whole story. Hell, I'm not conviced either of why exactly Summermoon would turn against the NE, but we still have way too much story to see.Not everything has to make sense at first glance. To anyone claiming "horde bias": you do realize that the horde has had their warchief either killed or mia since a while now, right? and that no one seems to like Sylvanas? hell not even the Lich King or Bwonsamdi like her.
guys.. why the hell nathanos can fight tyrande who recieved a power up?THIS IS SO DAMN STUPID!sira is like "well we have our reasons, but i will tell you later :')"
...wow, yikes. This is awful. They really need to decide whether risen undead have free will, make the decision permanent, and then make it explicitly clear. If they do have free will then this writing is really bad. It doesn't make any sense at all for literally every single risen character to suddenly do a 180 degree turn about on their former people and join full-heartedly the group who murdered them. Try to imagine being murdered and then rising from the dead and helping your killers murder your family. Honestly. It defies belief. Unless some kind of hypno-ray is involved, it's silly. If the risen really don't have free will and they become corrupted/manipulated/mindslaved, then Sylvanas is really just the Lich Queen and she should have her head chopped off as many times as it takes to put her down permanently. Maybe that's where they're headed with the story, and I hope it is, but I honestly doubt it. She's too popular; they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. Also, they seem unable to discern the difference between "morally grey" and "war criminal" anyhow.Devs have shown pretty irredeemably that they have a severe Horde bias and a severe addiction to pooping on the Alliance. Soooo whatever.
It should be kept in mind this is the Horde side of the story. It is expressly written to make the horde player feel they achieved something. The Alliance side likely has a lot more context to it for Kaldorei: There is still a lot of text for this scenario that is not used yet that seems to indicate after the Horde scenario ends the alliance player and Maiev spring a surprise attack on Nathanos and kill him. There, on the landing... that must be Nathanos's tent. Get closer.Now... destroy him.Sure he later on escapes but it is only at the cost of another greater Val'kyr, bringing the number Sylvanas has below the number needed to revive her again.
For all you ^&*!@ing, let me spell it out for you because apparently you haven't actually read the notes:Horde lose Rastakhan, a figure who's been in the game since 4.1Horde lose Darkshore, Alliance take it backHorde lose the Tide Scepter, Alliance take it backZandalari fleet is decimatedHorde fleet is decimatedAlliance lose nobody. Mechatorque IS frozen, but alive and in safe hands. So basically everything Horde did in 8.0, gets undone. And now they are in a weaker position than ever, with quotes from alliance stating "we will win this war in a matter of weeks". And 8.2 is leading up to the newer raids, so it's very unlikely Horde will ever get to win anything to balance it. It was all wasted for nothing.
Now horde has warden, so...warden class confirmed?
nice re use of the draenor shadowmoon valley, moon asset! (only slightly sarcastic, as i actually like the effect). cant wait though! gonna be fun!
It bothers me every time I see a "Horde bias" post when the direction of this story is making me like the Horde less and less as time goes on.It's not just the Alliance getting screwed over here, it's just a different way of being screwed. Fictional characters are being killed on the Alliance side; many Horde players' identification with their faction is being trashed IRL.
Okay this is just pathetic now. I can't believe this keeps happenig.Even when the Horde loses, the Alliance loses. How long is this trend going to keep up? Will the Alliance land an ACTUAL victory for once?
Sylvanas has some sort of mind control. When new Forsaken are raised they feel compelled to serve her or are given the option to die (at least usually, she doesn't seem to bring the option up to Forsaken that're vital to her plans). When the Val'kyr resurrected her this form of mind control came into effect. It's the only explanation I can possibly think of for this writing. Otherwise it's just terrible.About her plan... Is it really just to create a huge Undead army so that she'll never have to die, and she made a deal with some big bad to whisper her name to Vol'jin? How strange and boring. If she just kept a low profile not many people would try to hunt her down anyway. If she stayed in the shadows she could've accomplished her mission just as well.
