Hell, it's about time.
Stuck with boring Tauren and Belves for the foreseeable future then? Guess I'm not going back to Luladin.
Paladins draw their power by faith, worshipping -any- Loa can grant them power. What is Blizzard up to... maybe the type of power they gain differs by Loa.
sounds like a cheap excuse not to just give zandalari paladins right away... if you are leaving it as a possibility for the future, knowing how much the player base wants it, why go out of your way to create lore reasons for why you cant have a zandalari paladin instead of just making them playable?
Well that's really dumb. Doesnt even make sense, as Rezan is already undead and they have his power just fine. This would mean no Zandalari priests either, or even normal troll priests.
Well they look pretty legit in some of my Paladin transmogs and horde could do with another paladin(though Alliance could do with another Shaman and Druid)
First time I really hate their decision in the BfA Alpha in terms of lore. If you even aknowledge the fact that there are paladins, just give em to the players.
So, they obviously recognized the desire for Zandalari paladins enough to to reinforce their place in the canon, but are so against making them playable that they made the canonical Zandalari paladins lose their powers? Why not just give people what they want? Dark Iron Shaman and Zandalari Paladins. A majority of players want them, and they require less fiddling with the lore to make them a reality than it would take to close off those options to players. Why go through all this extra effort to remove choice?Or maybe I'm reading this wrong, and part of the questline to unlock them as an Allied Race will involve renewing their connection to the Light? I am unconvinced, but I hope that's the case.
Blizzard doesn't understand their own lore. The Light only requires you to have faith in something, and you can wield it. It isn't a deity that chooses who to bless.
Vol'jin will be the next loa of light!
Just smacks of Blizz going, "Shut up, we know what's best for you."Also, I'm sure they'll be 100% consistent and, thus, remove Zandalari priests and depower Princess Talanji, as well. I'll be waiting.
"So far it looks like Paladins are for the Alliance and Shaman are for the Horde"Actually, extra Druids are horde only for the moment, since Dark Iron will (most likely) be shamans too.
Night Elves didn't get paladins (yet), so not surprised. They're probably waiting to release new race+class combos in a batch.
Pretty silly to be honest. Alliance has a whooping 5 races to be paladins (dwarves, draenei, human, lightforged, dark iron), horde only has 2. Trolls would have both made sense and be different enough to be interresting. But then again Suzaku might be right, maybe tge unlock scenario will involve bringing their faith back.
