Ok now I'm really annoyed. They said before that they will add classess to races that make sense lorewise. They added those NPCs to show us that they're a thing, that they're in fact holy warriors. So they acknowledged that there is a high demand for this combination that makes sense and has it's on unique setting. But they go through extra effort to not make it playable by throwing at us uninspiring story to be done with it.Why? Is it because Ion was nostalgic and wanted to go with vanilla theme that pallies for Alliance and shaman for Horde? But what about racial fantasy? 'But let's get down to business and analyse it one by one.So apparently entire order is broken because Rezan was meant to be killed. That is peculiar considering that before High prelate Rata emphasised that they're meant to serve any loa. So Not just Rezan.Secondly, Rezan is Wild God, so he will likely reborn in emerald dream just like Cenarius. Hakkar was also meant to be slain, and just like Cenarius he came back for Cataclysm. I'd also point out that in Hinterlands there was a quest to summon and kill Shadra, and guess what? She is all fine, he high priestess appeared in ToT and was still drawing powers, and she also was communing with Vol'Jin in his novel.Rezan can still be present in etheral form, after his physical form was slain and gran Prelates powers. And lastly - Holy warriors are meant to get power by their faith, it was faith in light (in Zandalari's case it's Loa) that they gain powers. So they should get powers regarless if Rezan's physical form is gone.I can even come up with a scenario to actually restore the order just like that, hear me out :
Here's my guess. I think they'll do another race/class combination with the next expansion or we might get them in a patch. No need to rage :)
Just another stupid attempt to appeal to vanilla players and their nostalgia by keeping Shaman and Paladins 'exclusive' to their original factions where allied races are concerned. What a silly way to design a game.
Zandalari should not be Paladins, there's already cows and goats in our class hall! the last thing we need is spear-chucking trolls.
Good, keep the paladins on alliance side where they belong. The horde should never have had them.
All of u calm down and stop being triggered. As said before by Christie golden, the datamines and alpha/beta lore is altered to be fake because as ion said at blizzcon about bfa is that they are taking precautions to hide the real story/ lore true facts until launch because they are tired of everyone knowing everything before its out, for all u know this lore is all fake and the real dialogue isn't out till launch, same with class/race combinations, end of legion, nelfs became paladins soo u may find surprises upon launch plus the class/races weren't officially released it was a datamine, if u remember 7.2 datamines an Aussie cowboy dog battlepet, never got released. 7.3 datamined another demon invasion portal to a desert zone with tornados and a sandstorm pushback effect also 2 robot dog mounts one horde one alliance, never became released. Plus a red version of shackled ur'zul which was thought to be a unna reward but they skimped us out only rewarding with a npc hug...
Clearly wishful thinking there.
Gnome hunters have always been in lore since vanilla gnome soldier been marksmen using guns
hopefully we can fix that then get to play zandalari paladins
Sounds like they're in need of finding balance within themselves again....Blizzard, it's not too late for Zandalari monk *wink wink*
Just a cheap cop out to explain the lack of an obvious choice.Come on, Blizzard.
