More Allied Race Info from BlizzCon 2017 - Unlocking Races, Class Combinations, Racials

The example given was Highmountain Tauren, one could imagine you'd be required to do the Highmountain questline and have some reputation with the Highmountain Tribe.

Doing these requirements on your main character replaces the "level 1 starting experience." Through completing certain content, you prove your worth and bring the seasoned characters from Allied Races into your faction.

The demo included new areas in Stormwind and Orgrimmar with options to recruit varied Allied Races. This will likely lead to a questline showing how you win them to your faction.

The Allied Race starts questing at level 20.

Lightforged Draenei likely involves some form of Army of the Light Reputation and completion of part of the Argus Story.

Void Elves, led by Alleria, likely also involve the Argus Story and perhaps reputation with Argussian Reach.

Nightborne likely require some Suramar Questing and Nightfallen Reputation.

A: Because the experience with allied races begins at 20 and hero classes (DK’s and DH’s start out at a much higher level) it does present a hurdle that will need to be overcome. In an interview with Polygon, Blizzard revealed that "void elves will have a short-range teleport."

To me it doesn't make sense that someone who surrenders them self to the light would start tapping into shadow/void magic or vice versa.

Unless they lock certain specs in game so Lightforged Draenei can only choose between holy or discipline, or Void Elves can only pick between shadow and maybe discipline. In the end what was the point?

Or maybe just scrap the allied race sub classes and let them use the parent race classes since at one point they could have been that class, like I don't know maybe a paladin before turning into a void elf and they can be a "void paladin" that call on the void instead of the light same abilities maybe called something a little different to fit the theme and turn the spell visuals purple instead of yellow. To me that makes more sense and something that could work across all the new races better than the current suggested model with little to no more work needed...Comment by NulgarWhy would the allied races be able to be dk?
