Please make them worth something to sell, I realize I'm in the far far far minority here, but I have 1 character that I've played since Vanilla. My Warlock. I have 18 legendary's. All the destro, and 6 from Affliction/Demo. I don't begrudge, in fact, I expect catch-up mechanics, they're necessary in a game like WoW. However, it'd be nice if these sold for something decent (Legion, decent, not Vanilla decent), or could be used in some other way for those who don't/won't have alts to utilize. Especially since I already have 14 that're just taking up bag space.
Seriously? There's people out there with every legendary for every spec? Wow that's a lot of play time.... I think they have this the wrong way round. If you want a catch up / Alt gearing system then there should be a way to get your first and/or second one very quickly within an hour or so of hitting 110.
Blizz does something right To possibly help people with alts or people that joined later in the expansion or even switched mains before ToS, and then they make sure it applies to next to no one by making it so that the tokens will only drop for people with ALL the legendaries for their class. Classic blizz. I had almost got my hopes up thinking it may make an alt or two of mine playable by have a chance at getting the 1 or 2 good legendaires for those specs.
So, do we know if which token you get is random? Cuz...it'd be pretty %^&*ty to get a random leggo token for a random class that you may not even be trying to level/gear. I'd want to at least target tokens for a toon I play
So if your main still only has 1 legendary you're still out-of-luck and these are meaningless for you huh?
Oh, it can drop for people who have ALL the legendaries, for their poor alts, what a relief! I was worried it would help people that have very few or none, what a travesty that would have been!/s
I main a druid, so I have to get four specs worth of legendaries (two of which I don't even use) before I can start to get the tokens for my alts? That's super fantastic.
So we get tokens that grant our alts legionaries, If one of our characters has ALL the legionaries for their Class; Not their specialization, but their class.Any word on whether or not the hard limit of legionaries will go up at all? It's great they want to hand them to us, But I'd like to use more than two.
Think I would prefer it be if you had all legendaries for your spec....not for the entire class. Demon Hunters will benefit from this way more because of only having 2 specs and Druids will be at a disadvantage because they have 4 specs.
Just double or triple the legendary droprate instead of these stupid tokens. My main who doesn't raid or run mythic dungeons only has 5 legendaries. He's also a druid. At this rate by the time my first token drops, the new expansion will be here and everything will be close to irrelevant. Each time Blizz throws this lovely rng crap at us, it's evident that they want us to waste more time to keep the submoney flowing and not to actually make a good and fun game with a high replay value.
"those are actually what you will earn if you literally have all legendary for your class."I'm sorry. What? That's pretty much entirely useless Some MYTHIC RAIDERS, don't even have ever single one. Tf?
so.... druids are getting the short end of the stick as they have to get more legendaries in order to have all of them whereas demon hunters will have a much easier time as they have a lot less to collect?
What a waste. So much for helping out alt-friendly players.
This does not help a majority of the players in any way
Let's be honest here. Given that we have data-mined 12 different types of these legendary tokens it's clear that these are not something that we can send to an incorrect class. Additionally we know/can infer that these will appear on mains that have all legendaries for all specs (RIP druids), just like how previous legendary drops have occurred. I have read all the previous comments and can sort of piece together how this will likely work out given the casino motif of Legion.1. Main's BLP increases to a point where they earn one of these tokens. (Now this is the kicker and likely how Blizzard is going to operate)2. The token that appears is going to be random. Meaning aka there is a 1/11 chance of getting a token for the class that you want to earn a legendary.3. You can then send this token to that class. Granted that the player has to actually even have that class in the first place and it be at level 110.4. That alt then receives the token which can then be clicked to "learn" a random legendary for their desired loot spec.5. Player will then likely drink a lot to cope with the inevitable reality of not getting that one legendary that will make their alt viable for group play.6. Demon Hunters laugh that they can more easily participate in this system.Let's be honest here. I can see no other way of Blizzard doing this. Barring some sort of legendary week (or two) event (a la Garrosh heirlooms) where downing Argus on normal or higher, could/shall drops one of these on a character once per week on all difficulties. In short Blizzard really really needs to up legendary drop rate. I would like to at least have 10 or so on each of my alts before the close of RNGion after maxing my dk.
Uh... is this a joke? Some kind of strategy to see if we complain enough, then they change it just so we say something like "weee they listen"?
I think a lot of you may be misunderstanding what this addresses. This isn't a catch-up. There is catch-up in the game and the legendary aquisition rate is steadily increased as the patches come out and with the patches more sources for legendaries appear (say invasion points as a prominent most recent source).Try - even if that does not apply to you - to think about someone having all legendaries for his class - there are a few of those. What do they have to look forward to anymore? The legendary drop is out. That feels kinda stale. This proposed addition intends to add that back in. You will feel kinda happy that you got another legendary that you can give to one your alts while you played your main as you naturally would.I don't think this is supposed to lead to you farming legendaries on your main for your alts as in because your main would be so much more geared. To improve your alt playing on your alt will just for the gear and ap you aquire still be the way to go. That you get something for your alt as you play your main that is "finished" with legendaries is just a bonus.
